WRITTING A GOOD LITERATURE REVIEW FOR IT STUDENTS

I will start with food for thought thus if we are to achieve results never before accomplished
we must employ methods never before attempted.

I will be talking about the following:

• System Development
• Literature Review.

Today information systems are transforming business and they are so essential for running and managing
businesses.

Before you will start your literature review you must consider the following:

• What is An information System?
• How does it work?
• What are its management,organization and technology components.
• How does it ensures value for the organization?

SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT

• A methodology - a technique utilized to collect information employing method to store data.
• Framework - a hypothetical outline influenced by a paradigm shift(philosophical theory) interpreted by
  developers adapted to their scenario to implement a development.
• Soft System Methodologies - account for socio-technical,political and user involvement when developing systems.

Some departure from structured approaches which are inflexible to manage developments within dynamic organizations We group all the above into INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGIES(ISDM) - a collection of procedures,techniques,tools and documentation which help the system developers in their efforts to implement a new information system. And also help them to plan,manage,control and evaluate information system projects.

LITERATURE REVIEW

A Literature Review discusses published information in a particular subject area, and sometimes information in a particular subject area within a certain time period.
An objective, critical summary of published work,relevant to the topic under consideration It creates familiarity with current thinking,may justify future research

A literature review can just be a simple summary of sources,but it usually has an organizational pattern and combines both summary and synthesis.
