Ogochukwu: What is your favourite under appreciated novel/poem or work of art?
Verbal-d: The King James Bible, and a heavenly work of art it truly is, certainly, by my beliefs, has some of the most original literature ever shared with human kind.
Ogochukwu: Which Steemian/steemians have inspired you the most?
Verbal-d: I can definitely say my wife who manages @happyharmonymay account for our daughter Harmony, definitely my best friend @edgarstudio, who is currently busy traveling the world doing music and performance gigs which is why his page is at a standstill here on steemit, also @papa-pepper, the mayor of Steemit for his kindness and wisdom.
My brother @sirwinchester, @jedau, @dreemit, and @everlove who brings together the most beautiful collaborative art journeys for us all to participate in
Ogochukwu: Which of your pearlescent poem's is the best so far?
Verbal-d: I truly don't have one, I am like a parent who loves equally all his children, each one has value and powerful intentions, but read them all and find your favourite one, that is what I would love to hear from my supporters, which ones are the ones the resonate with them the most!
Ogochukwu: Have you read anything that made you think differently about poetry/prose?
Verbal-d: Yes, I have read other people's poetry and prose, because all poetry and prose is based on interpretation and presentation and their are either specific rules and guidelines, or none at all. It is all a matter of perspective so it is good to branch out and explore but stay true to one's own grounded roots when they write from their own voice.
Ogochukwu: What is the first book that made you cry?
Verbal-d: it could have been the KJV Bible, but without a doubt I would definitely say "A Child Called It" by Dave Pelzer, and bluntly so, I can relate to many things that unfortunate child experienced.
Ogochukwu: How do you balance Family and Work?
Verbal-d: Day by day, I balance them and they balance me vice versa, but above all else, Jesus Christ, God keeps me grounded and focused on the bigger picture because they are my family too.
Family and Work is indeed important but a small facet in the grand scheme of things, especially with the ongoing spiritual battle for our allegiance and the direction of where we end up on Judgement Day. I love my family and hope to do great things for them God willing.
Ogochukwu: You are currently accepting donations here on Steemit so that you can raise enough money to visit your Family, how has it been and who are the Steemians that has supported you along the way?
Verbal-d: It's going smoothly so far, I am deeply appreciative and thankful for all the donations I have received so far, and can't wait to reach the halfway mark.
The generously kindhearted people who have donated with care are: @fulltimegeek, @papa-pepper, @scammymcspambot, @prufarchy, @trevor.george, @dreemit, @inphiknit, @hopehuggs, @jedau, @sumsum, @edgarstudio, @the-future, @hanshotfirst, @tincho, @positive-trail, @ogochukwu and I am forever grateful for their heart driven, good intentioned contributions for me to help my family visit my big family back in America.
It is a time pressure issue, and they all have helped to expedite this dream and goal of ours
Ogochukwu: What is your advice to young Steemians who recently started blogging ?
Verbal-d: Stay consistent, stay true, original, creative, polite, giving, kind, respectful, and give give give with all of your being to others. Only good will come of it.
Ogochukwu: As a writer what would you chose as your mascot/avatar/inspiration?
Verbal-d: Jesus Christ, the truth, the way, and the life. My Lord and Saviour, who is a mockery and hated person by many on this earth, I willingly accept and endure persecution for His name's sake. Haters do not phase me, my favourite quote I created was, "God, Jesus Christ have the most haters" so any hate directed towards me will be dealt with with grace and redirected positively somehow.
Ogochukwu: Do you view writing as a kind of spiritual practise?
Verbal-d: Definitely, just adding to God's kingdom with the gifts He gave me, I feel it is my responsibility to not let these gifts go to waste, but to hone them skilfully and present the best I can praying that the Holy Spirit guides my pen continually.
Ogochukwu: Thank you @verbal-d for coming on The InkPot this week, your presence here has been a blessing to @literature-trail
