Ooops, I wrote down the 16th prompt of #inktober as "grunge" when it is really "grungy."
Grunge often refers to a type of garbage music that came out of Seattle in the 1980s.
Oddly, my father was working a temporary job in Seattle when grunge was the rage. I actually felt unsafe when visiting Seattle at night when the grunge craze was at this most thuggish.
Having bad memories of grunge, I didn't want to spend much time on this prompt.
I've been playing man v. machine during InkTober. I asked Night Cafe to generate an image of a grunge musician. I then made a quick sketch of the AI image and then snuck off it another room to try and turn the image I had generated into a scribble drawing.
I have not done many scribble drawings. Since this was a new thing, I was not expecting much.
Don't be amazed, but I did not deliver much.
Here is the AI image:
This is my attempt to render a scribble drawing:
I was trying to do the shading with black scribbles alone. I realized that the guitar was the primary focus of the image; I decided to pencil in a neutral background so that the guitar would stand out.
The AI image took a few seconds. The scribble drawing took a few hours.
