Inktober 2017 Day 31 "Mask"

in inktober2017 •  7 years ago

Thank You Everyone
for supporting me this month during my first Inktober!

I really enjoyed the mental challenge as much as the drawing.

For our final day, an ultra simple kabuki-inspired jawless skull.

Really liking this one... i like the ghost grey around the edges that is just dark enough to define the shape, but ghost enough to almost blend it into the paper... really cool

This one turned out better than I had envisioned it beforehand. Thank you for your feedback! ☺

Nice drawing dear. From pencil time to final look, there is mass change.Really good work.

Thanks! I appreciate your compliments ☺

Sad to see Inktober gone, but that is life. Love the drawing, and so apropos for the day. Would make a nice costume. Have a nice Halloween.

Thank you! Just like Halloween, it'll be back again next time around. Nice having things to look forward to. BTW, I really enjoyed your Curmudgeon story. You got more than a couple laughs out of me.

Very welcome. And so glad you enjoyed reading about the crabby Halloween man. It was fun to write, and glad it gave you some mirth.

Nice clean work and also a good 3d effect. Bye inktober

It's been fun!
Thanks for commenting @bronkong! P.S. I've got your "life" coming, don't think I've forgotten ☺

neither do I. Weekend is coming and i will have tome to work your one out ;)

The finished work looks three-dimensional. I really thought I was looking at an object lying on the paper.

Very kind of you! I always appreciate your comments, @winstonalden.

I love Kabuki designs! Very cool. Sorry I missed so many of your Inktobers, but I still think it's super impressive that you managed to follow through on posting like every day!

@drwatson, thank you! I appreciate your input. No worries, you have a lot on your plate with all the goings on in Ithaqa these days. I agree, Kabuki has timeless appeal ☺

p.s. i LOVE the steemit redesign

It is fun to be a part of this ever-evolving social experiment, isn't it!

Bit similar to the Chinese face paint for Chinese opera.

Any inspiration from there?

Thank you! Yes, I see the similarity to the Chinese opera, but I was channeling the Japanese kabuki theater style while I was making this. I'm going to have to look deeper into this Chinese opera now, very cool face painting. Thanks for sharing that ☺

You're welcome. Didn't know about the Japanese one.
Did a search and ...

Thanks for the info

Any time friend! Glad to share.

Hope your doing well @enternamehere
Taking an art break after the month long challenge?

I'm better than ever! Thanks for checking in on me, @artwatch. I am actually working on a few projects, just haven't been posting. Sometimes I find myself needing to disconnect from the Internet world a bit. I'm still here :D ♥
