Don't Worry, By The Time The Next Pandemic Strikes We'll All Have Wearable Shields

I think there will be plenty of people posting on both. I think the definition of what constitutes reward pool on STEEM has gone out the window, or been stretched at the very least. Personally, I agree that logic would dictate that we work both platforms for as long as we can.

STEEM has so far survived the hard fork split and is hovering around $0.19 USD, sort of where it was before the hard fork. I don't know whose investment it is, but there's a bunch who are powering down (more than before), so by the time 13 weeks are up, it will be interesting to see where that price is at.

It will largely depend on what Justin Sun decides to do. If he starts moving quickly (presuming he has the STEEM block devs to do it with), things could change far sooner than 13 weeks, and we might be able to withdraw our stake sooner, if we so choose. That just means an acceleration. He might not be so keen about reducing the power down window now that a good chunk of the userbase has moved over to HIVE. Or he might still want to, given he can't have made Binance and Huobi that happy.

Yes sir I agree. Are you going to power down? Do you see this layoff from your job as a relief of sorts for now at least?

Hey, @janton.

Yes, I am powering down. First week is over tonight. I don't know what I will be doing with the first few weeks though, since blocktrades has STEEM trading down, but I think it might be coming back soon since he's announced a HIVE/STEEM pair, so people can trade between the two.

As far as relief goes, not really. Since I won't really have much income in the interim (maybe some unemployment benefits), it will be tight for a while. Whether I like it or not, want to not, it's tough to concentrate on just posting when the income isn't there. If either STEEM or HIVE bounced up to a $1, that might at least ease things up a little.

That sucks when finances get tight. I think this thing will blow over sooner than people are saying but even a couple of months is going to be brutal economically.
