Scientists of Stanford University together with colleagues from Carnegie Mellon University in 2010 have developed a computer game of EteRNA. The project purpose – to arrange a peculiar brainstorming with participation of thousands of gamers for the solution of the two-dimensional puzzles connected with assembly of molecules RNA. At the peak of popularity at the beginning of 2016 about 100.000 players participated in a game.
