Let's do away with the phrase "Practice Makes Perfect. I think it can actually do more harm than good sometimes. Nothing or nobody is perfect. In a way that sets you up for a fall.
We should change it to "Practice Makes Progress". On the other hand we all can progress if we put forth effort. Your progression will depend on how much effort you put in to it.
Don't try to be perfect. You'll never get there. Get started, put forth consistent effort and progress. Always look to progress and grow.
The timeline of when you make it to where you want to go is up to you.
