The highest height I once did know
now molehills in their place
and kingdoms many once I ruled
All now they are disgraced
I speak not of decay or ruin
Look again and see
That acolades and laurel past
All signs of things to be.
Think upon this pondering muse
Consider things you've done
And reminisce on victories past
The battles fought and won
Now look for the next rung to reach
The newest step to take
then forward stretch reach out and grab
new goals for brighter day.
