In my clime, it has become a tradition to spend a lot of money during Christmas. This leaves a lot of people Brooke and financially distressed by January. As a matter of fact, January appears longer than it really is.
Now last year, I decided to change the narrative. I decided to blindside all the urges to spend irrationally. I decided to save heavily. I even had to cancel my vacation trip just so I can have a certain amount of money in my account by January this year.
By January this year, I got recommended to carry out a project. The client insisted that not more than 15% of the monthly remuneration will be released at this early stage. The client further said the contract will be cancelled if I didn't have enough funds to see it through January.
At that point, my savings came to my rescue. I used my savings to ensure the project is progressing according to the designed timeline.
I want to encourage you to save some of your earnings, they might be your saviour tomorrow.
