I have a great quote from Christopher today.

"There is only one success,
to be able to spend your life in your own way."

People ask all the time, "How do you define success?".

Does it mean making lots of money?

Does it mean being really powerful?

What does it mean?

The truth is that every person is going to view success in a different way.

That is part of why I showcase so many different types of people in these inspirations.

Your success and my success are going to be different.

Anything that you have ever wanted to do, you have succeeded at.

Technically if your goal was to finish a meal, and you do, then that was a success.

Success can be anything that is accomplished really.

The dictionary calls it:

The accomplishment of an aim or purpose.

I would say it a bit differently though:

"The continued accomplishment of intended goals."

I've defined it a few different ways that really all mean the same thing.

To continually accomplish what you set out to do.

Success is continual.

Source

Once you succeed at one thing you are on to the next.

If you look around you, you will notice that you are actually succeeding at nearly every moment in life.

If you wake in the morning and decide to brush your teeth, the moment you are finished you have succeeded.

Driving to work, completing tasks at work, making coffee...

The list of things you complete in a day is really endless.

Wow, you're a pretty impressive individual, you've probably succeeded at over 100 things today without even thinking of them as successes.

Maybe thousands if we really broke it down.

The difference is being consciously aware of them and the weight we put on each one.

When you make a cup of coffee, I'm sure most of you are not jumping up and down in utter glee at the fact that you have done that. (If you are I have a number you can call.... just kidding.)

Now if you do something you put more weight in, you might though.

Like start a new business, land a new job, these sort of things.

The main thing to remember is to make them your goals.

If they are not you simply will not feel as fulfilled.

Even if you are doing it for someone else it can be your goal to do it, or do it the best, or better than last time.

The key is whether it is something you really want to do.

The more things we can do in life that we really want to do, the more fulfilled we will feel.

If you don't really want to do something that you do anyway, and it is a success, that success will not feel as good to you as accomplishing something you really did want to do.

Naturally, the more things in our lives that we accomplish, that were really things we wanted, the more successful we will feel overall in our lives.

Which brings us to the real point today:

Do what you want to do.

What YOU want to do.

Do what YOU WANT to do.

As long as you are doing things that you really want to do, and finishing them, then you are becoming successful at those things.

If those things help you to be a better version of yourself then you will feel wonderful about them!

Remember,
