One Stab Too Deep; When a Wound Won't Just Heal.

in inspiration •  8 years ago  (edited)

We hurt others and sometimes we get hurt too. Offence, like everything else in life comes in a vicious circle. And while it differs in degree and intensity, it is not something that anyone likes to experience.

Extreme cruelty from parents, relatives or people who are naturally obligated to show love can be very hard to forgive and forget. These terrible experiences hurt and even haunt us. We wish it never happened and we struggle with all the anger and bitterness that comes with it.

One major reason why many of us find it difficult to heal after we've been bruised is because we refuse to put the incidence behind us. It hurts even more to think that the offender will simply get away with the havoc done. This is an erroneous belief, after all the Bible makes it clear that whatsoever a man sows, he shall reap.

Another reason why some of us find it difficult to heal is because we don't know how to. We want to forgive and move on but the chains of anger and bitterness weigh is down.

Why not seek help and pray about it. I did and it worked for me. Regardless of how much it hurts. Let it go. Heal. Stop thinking about how deep the stab is but start focusing on the dividends of putting it all behind you.

Dividends of putting it all behind. #thumbsup

Yeah. There is nothing as refreshing as letting it all go and living life to the fullest.

You're a very good writer. I find that it becomes both harder and easier to let go when these incidents occur.. It is both harder and easier because the more it happens, the more you start to see a pattern, and wonder if perhaps it's something that will never stop happening, or perhaps it could have been prevented all along? Food for thought..<3

True! And that is why we all have to learn from our past mistakes and move on. Not just hoarding them. It hinders our growth and movement

Nice post @ mz-fisteganos, it is very important that we all learn to move on and let the past hurts and hatred go because it unconsciously ties us down as well.

Yes. Exactly. Glad we're in the same school of thought 😊
