ATTEMPTING TO ANSWER THE QUESTION - AND GIVING AWAY SOME STEEM WHILE DOING IT

in inspiration •  7 years ago

How does one answer the unanswerable when dealing with things that are not reproducible?

I guess you let others attempt to answer it for you, at least that is what I did.

Often, @papa-pepper is asked a certain question. The question is "How do you become successful on steemit?"... or some variation of that. Basically, others want to know how they can do what I do. The problem is that there is no real answer. As far as I know, no one can reproduce my results. I can't even do it.

You see, for an author to become "successful" on steemit requires a lot than just the author. There are many variables like whales, minnows, dolphins, and the community as a whole that come into play. An author can be much better than @papa-pepper is, but that doesn't mean that they will "succeed." An author who is "much worse" can do "much better." Some days, there seems to be some rhyme and reason that it lacking from the equation. Honestly though, I like to try to help, so I do what I can.

I even tried to cram all the best advice that I could muster into a five minute video. Still, this is only my perception of the situation. I thought that a better idea would be to let the community answer the question for me, since they are the ones who made @papa-pepper what he is today.

When I recently went over 4000 followers and my reputation made it up to a 75, I thought that is would be a great opportunity for me to ask the community and give away some STEEM.

After spending quite a bit of time sorting through the comments, I thought it may be best to summarize some of the common observations made. The things listed below are provided to give others some insight into some of the reasons why the community may support @papa-pepper the way that they do.

  • GENEROUS & GIVING
  • HARD WORKER
  • CONSISTENT
  • KIND
  • HELPFUL
  • HONEST
  • ORIGINAL
  • ENGAGING
  • ENCOURAGING
  • AUTHENTIC
  • INTERESTING
  • QUALITY
  • ENTHUSIASTIC
  • COMMUNITY MINDED
  • POSITIVE
  • CARING
  • HUMBLE

Basically, my new advice for others attempting to do better on steemit is to keep making and improving on making high quality posts while responding to your comments, but make sure to actually care about the people behind those usernames. Realize that steemit is not just a way for you to potentially make money. It is an organic community of individuals who are all here for a reason. Do not focus only on yourself, but think about others and find ways to help and care for them too.

I know that sounds like a tall order, but remember, even @papa-pepper had help!

In the end, it seems that simply focusing on yourself and improving your content will only get you so far.

75 STEEM WINNER

In that MEGA MILESTONE post, I was not looking for people to sing my praises. I was actually wondering what the community thought about why @papa-pepper has been able to accomplish what he has here. I also offered up 75 STEEM to one of the comments that seemed like it did a good, honest job answering that question. Here is the comment that won.

First, Congratulations on your milestones! I think you do so well here on Steemit because you hit all the marks.

You're productive, cranking out several posts every day.
You're consistent. You post every day, day after day. And you have consistency in your content, with well-defined themes.
You're collaborative, making posts with others, right from your start on Steemit and through today.
You're creative, whether it's making art, trying out new contests, or using visually appealing thumbnails, photo frames, and the footer at the end of your posts.
You're engaging and enthusiastic, with a breezy writing style that encourages comments, you show yourself and your family in your posts, and you clearly have fun!
You're encouraging, letting folks know that it's OK to post about the topics you've already covered, but from their own perspective. And you help people learn to Steem well.
You're generous, giving away so much -- SP and SBD in contests and for folks in need, seeds, T-shirts, Steemit art, and more.
You have unique content, with series like the wild critters, edible outdoors, and different contests. And you are sharing how you experience different things, not trying to recreate information on the Internet or using other people's content.
You've got several compelling stories that you share frequently -- your redemption story, your young and growing family, your homesteading dreams and progress (with baby animals and children!), and how Steemit is helping you achieve your dreams.

That's about as complete as it gets, for hitting all the marks. Some of the Steemit curation and guild efforts helped build your momentum here, too, because of all that you do so well. Here's to your continued success on Steemit!

That is just one example of some insight provided by another user. The one above was provided by @haphazard-hstead, so I sent them 75 STEEM for their efforts in providing an honest evaluation.

Obviously, the goal for many of us is to make steemit all that it can be, but that cannot happen alone. That goal must be accomplished together. For anyone out there looking for answers on how to improve, hopefully this post has provided some insight. Also, you can find my video advice series in the comment section of the post linked HERE. Be blessed.

Mark

Cool, nice to meet you Mark! Thanks.

Likewise. :3

This is a nice post oceancoinz iam still learning about how to wright and react on peoples post.
Thank you

You'll learn, just keep reading and learning about steem. Keep steeming! Followed ya.

Nice beard and good post :)

Great post. You're right sometimes success here seems to have no rhyme or reason. Yet, it is human nature to keep digging for that elusive answer! I think success is often based off a lot charcteristics and intangbles that can't always be explained! Either way you're doing amazing and I'm gonna keep digging until I find something that works for me!

Just keep digging and keep it up!

You deserved the success. Rome is not build in one day. My hardwork and persistence will pay off for me too just as it has done for you. I hope to be able to learn from you and thank you so much for sharing.

Great attitude. You are heading the right direction thinking like that!

Hello! Your account was actually one of the first that I came across when I first Joined Steemit. I was intrigued by the sharing photo aspect of steemit as I have never really had a venue for that and you were the "sponsor" of the contest so of course I had to check out your account and blog as well. From what I saw from your blog you were someone to look up to as a long term steemit member and I appreciated that you got involved with the steemit community in different ways.

I enjoyed your post this morning and all of the "tips" that you provided.

Thanks!

You're welcome. Thank you for sharing all that. I do like to invest in this community.

Hey @papa-pepper I've watched all your videos you currently have about steemit advice. And though they are good, really really good...I'm afraid they just don't cater to me...As you've mentioned in this post from commenters comments. You do hit all the marks for what it is that you do and how you go about doing it but, What about someone like me. I'm to shy to wanna show my face, I'm not a blogger who can make/create good written material and I don't have the luxury of time to push out content every day but ... The posts I do create are about astronomy(kinda)mostly because I want to bring the beauties of space to all, the photos I take and use in my posts are mine..but I just don't know how I or others like me could improve ourselfs, our posts and material we use to be as successful as most of our community members....Basically I'm asking if you know of any advice for the members of Steem that are like me with the 1 subject posts, lack of time, non existing blogging skills and the difficulty to express ourselfs(emotionally or in the use of photos) online all in order to improve ourselfs for our posts or content, thank you and everyone else for reading

Carve out your niche in your own way. Be your best self.

When you have the time, make sure to interact with those here who share your interests and use the same tags. Build up the subcomunity that you do fit into.

Also, compare yourself to yourself and not to others. You may never have the success that some others have, but you can have more than you do right now.

Invest what you can when you can, and do do unselfishly, without looking for an ROI.

Good thing I'm not steemin for profit. But I am sad and suprised that there's not much Interest in space here. Or at least I feel that way. But I'll never stop. Thank you for responding to my post. I appreciate that😎

FYI: this post changed my concept of you. Up until now, you were just another successful Steemit personality and there are many such individuals. What won my heart and mind was the question:

How does one answer the unanswerable when dealing with things that are not reproducible?

Steemit is littered with well meaning successful people offering advice on how to succeed; albeit sincere, honest and practical. Things like having a good picture, have a catchy title, write about what you love etc. All of this is rational and contributes to good writing, but after almost a year, more than 900 posts and way less than $500 earned on Steemit, by my personal standards, it seems to me that something is lacking or that I am missing something.

I've thought the gamut of reasons for these results, from "it's a whale conspiracy" to "I am just not cut out to be a writer." At this point, I'm at peace with any explanation for my results. It is just life.

But, I really like your question and how you treated it in the article.

How does one answer the unanswerable when dealing with things that are not reproducible?

In trying to figure out what the upshot of this comment is, I think that I have come to a similar conclusion about success on Steemit. I see it as a chemistry/physics problem, but to put it in conversational terms...

It is like life. You can be a good person, strive to always do the right thing, even pursue diligently all the best qualities known to man, yet still be a failure financially, socially or in whatever area you wish to succeed.

In conclusion, I think the analysis that you do in this article makes a powerful statement about achieving success on Steemit and does so by seeking the answer to a very insightful question.

In appreciation, I have upvoted, re-steemed and submit this comment.

Thank you!

You're a really cool guy. Great post!

aweee this post gives me motivation to continue, support and help others even in a little way. Thanks a bunch @papa-pepper <3 <3 <3 God bless ^_^

I agree that on an individual basis it can seem that there is no rhyme or reason as to why it is popular. But when you look at it from the level of the author, those that consistently put out good quality, relevant articles usually get a good following and hence well paid posts. I looked at a couple of the most popular posters and tracked their posts back to the start of their Steemit posting. The thing that struck me was that their posts were still very good (usually) but the payout was very low. As time went their posts remained good but more and more people discovered them, followed them and consistently upvoted them, resulting in mega payouts.
Therefore, I would agree that the key is consistent, regular good quality posts and engaging with followers via comments.

Very good analysis!

I just stumbled upon this post. I have heard about you but never followed any post since i am mosty interested in some topics only. But this one caught my attention. My take way is just participate in the community and building the community together . I will never be a good writer sharing stories and iam fine with it. I am not looking necessarly to make money from my posts

What i've come to learn makes one successful anywhere is just being yourself and having fun. See steemit as a place where you can learn first. i've read so many blog posts that am just smarter or more vast in knowledge just for that and thats what no one can take from me. Got alot of tips on how to work on myself from this thanks sir. Post like you're not getting paid for it like facebook
Good day.

Above all, be yourself, be honest, and authentic!

Keep it up @neniemsu!

yep will do just that and more

Congratulations @papa-pepper!

Hey pappa pepper, I love your posts as they always relate to how I feel. Ive been working on my writing skills since I joined and slowly but surely my thoughts are finally starting to flow through the keyboard. Thanks for another helpful post :)

This is absolutely wonderful post @papa-pepper Thank you so much for posting it. Everything you mentioned in your 5 minute on how to succeed in Steemit are excellent tips. I just joined a week ago and I'm slowly gaining followers from making well thought out comments on people's posts.

The thing I learned about success here on Steemit from reading people's posts and commenting frequently is that you have to add value to everything you do either through curation, posting, or commenting. It might be slow at first but over time as long as you add value in some way or form eventually it will pay off tremendously.

Yes, ADD VALUE!

That is key! Great observation!

Th amount of time and effort you put in to every post is really commendable...not only that, the way you organize contests makes the whole community come together and participate...I've joined steemit couple of week's back and you are one of the author whose post's I read from start till end without a blink...there's a lot we minnows can learn from your postings....hope to see more from your side...I'm still alive on the latest steem-pocalypse season, eagerly waiting for today's outcome :)

Still alive? Good for you! A win in that game would be huge!

Thanks!

THIS is the most important post on steemit right now, people. RESTEEM this one far and wide. Share it on facebook. @papa-pepper is the prime example we need to set here and share with others about what they can find here.

I have been here less than two weeks. But I've got 400 ~quality~ followers, built and honed via comments, discussion, chat, and posts written to target them and get them to be interactive with me. @papa-pepper again is the prime example of this.

I do my own thing. I resteem a little, but I publish a LOT, and I converse in the comments all the time, and try to respond quickly to replies.

I've got the followers growing daily, and I've got the steem flowing in daily now from my posts and curation. It works if you work it!

Come see my feed to learn about software I'm personally creating for the steemit community (starting with a product for steemit gamers and contest/challenge fans) and more.

And let's get to know each other, folks, it's a SOCIAL blogging network after all!

Oh and @papa-pepper! I WILL survive whatever you throw at me! Get used to seeing my face in all your final #steem-pocalypse winners posts buddy! :D Thanks for being you, being real, and being a super contributor and enterprising entertainer here on steemit!

Hello , nice post .

now I understand: steemit is like a job if you want to climb up the ladder - discipline, consistence and social skills (and luck) lead to success - at least I do not have the first two, but I am really enjoying it! Keep up the good work Papa!

Very interesting post..yes, i very much enjoyed it !!!!!!!!!

I haven't been on Steemit but for a week and I have already seen most of these characteristics in you. You are one of a kind....and THAT is why you are so successful here on Steemit.

Congratulations and I wish you all the blessings God has.

Take care.
Sincerely-
Oily

All I am going to say-thank you for your honesty! Great video!

Great post. Just keep doing you

@papa-pepper I totally agree that improving one's content would have a good effect on steem reputation. upvoted and following to learn more

Always try to do better today than you did yesterday, at least in quality, since payout is not up to you.

This is not just advice to become popular on STEEMIT, its how to win at life in my opinion.

Advice : BE YOU

Lol, good point!

You be you buddy!

Thanks for this post now i know whats the key to be succesful on STEEMIT,amzing please keep feeding me for more advice.

i like what you said in post that how important is to be a help in growth of other. And at end seems to have little idea how to do it and you are right in sense every talent has different admirer . You can help people with photography, video editing and making, designing there post, but the talent is so vast that one cannot cover it all.
But as you said you are doing what you can do in your reach and that also good enough in sense that atleast you are attempting.
And now if i talk about an idea then steemit community should be categorized like photographers, artist, fundamentalist, technical analyst, chefs, philosophers, scientist, environmentalist, socialist, media etc etc, then held competition related to different talents. As far what i have seen in steemit so far is this that competitions are mostly related to photography and u can't ask fish to climb tree and monkey to swim.
But you also rightly said, nobody can help you better than yourself.
Thanks @papa-pepper for sharing and attempting to unanswer.
Love and Respect @jimmyrai28

I appreciate your post. It sometimes seams hit and miss. I write some good post and some fair ones and there is no reason why some do better. I think I do better with comments than posts. LOL thanks.

Right, it is hit and miss, and a lot of it. Just keep it up to give yourself the opportunity for this hits!

Good post. Im hoping as Steemit matures the people who post good content and work with the community will thrive. That makes the whole platform grow and thrive in the long term. Quite new to Steemit and its quite tempting to dismiss it based on a lot of the content. But there are some real gems of content in here also.

If youre going to ask me what made you successful in steemit? I only knew one answer, its because YOU ARE YOU, Youre Overly Unique.

We learn from you @papa-pepper. Thanks for being you :)

Thanks for the tips! And thanks for the awsome contents that you posted. Keep posting sir! When I first logged in to steemit, your post was the first one i saw and read.. cheers!

Wow... @papa-pepper
When I joined steemit a little above one week ago, I never knew you as great as this...I saw your post...read the contents...loved your user name, said to myself...this guy must be funky & interesting...I followed and upvoted your posts for the sheer interest I had in your contents & name... But alal! my buddy is a star...glad to know you...you shall achieve greater heights here as a stemian and I shall strive to aim high and one day soon, I shall be eating on the same table as equals with the great @papa-pepper
Keep steeming high my man...You truly an inspiration to us as we your dedicated followers, lead by @kenhudoy are proud of you.

Winston churchill said it the best "success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."

Hi @papa-pepper, at first that steemit introduce to me all I want to know is how to earn money but a wek after, Its not all about that, I want to showcase my artwork that everytime my phone vibrate my first thought is "is there a comment?" So my smile get into my ear.. and now, I enjoyed showing my photograph and artwork that was being uploaded on any social media.. just here cause its different in steemit, without thinking that this will earned so much sp or sbd thru upvote .. btw, Im a new follower of yours week ago, only and I like the sense of your post. More power, more follower good day and godbless!😍😍😍

That is a very good attitude to have!

Thanks for the tips. I was recently thinking about what I need to do differently to gain more viewership. I think the key takeaway for me is consistent quality around an overarching theme of what I'm trying to portray on my account.

I'm slowly learning that it definitely helps to engage in others' post that are similar to the content you are putting out.

Yup, find folks with similar interests, make friends, support each other, and build community.

Also, I think many people like myself expect faster results, but many people on Steemit for months probably didn't see a benefit until they really put in the time and effort on a daily basis.

Cheers.

Nice post @papa-pepper.
Hopefully I can take your step and spirit.

yes, each individual are unique on their own and that is how God created us human, if you try to imitate others your will defiantly fail. we all have our difference, our style, our skill, and passion. the person that won the contest really captured your true picture and character in this community. your so special and unique. you have been an inspiration to many of us who are new in this community. This content will make those who think they don't need the minnow since they are whale already. it will all so teach them the important of saying thank you for those who support them. Weldon for all the good work your doing in this great community. we love you so much. upvoted and following as usual.

That was great!
Learning something new everyday! :)

Glad to hear it!

the simple answer is, it is God's grace

I spent a while trying to explain to two new users in the chats what to do to succeed....then when I finished a third came asking the same question. I was tired am deathly didn't feel like typing again so I came up with two words that basically encompass my enitre life philosophy as well as a good way to increase your chance s of quick success at steemit. "Be awesome". After I said it I realized that they probably did as much as a long explanation anyway.

It might not work every time, you might have to try different flavors of awesome, but in the long run it should work out if you just try to be the best version of yourself and experiment.

I recently started the "Be awesome" discord chat which is specifically for making deeper connections with fellow steemians. Whales are free to create alias nicknames in the chat to avoid ass kissing and really connect with others as equal, though it's not required. More info here :
https://steemit.com/steemit/@whatamidoing/milestone-post-300-followers-a-new-community-be-awesome

Ah, I just realized I mentioned you in that post @papa-pepper :-)

You are right about the quality content dealio. I recently stopped posting for a few days because I didn't want some crap post to be on the blockchain. I just had nothing real to talk about. Also your point on actually interacting with others that follow you and developing relationships. great post man! I'll take that advice.

This post has provided a lot of great information! It's so true that growing your account is a team effort, not just yourself. You have to be willing to work together with others, but also put in the time yourself. Good things don't come easy, but with hard work, you will reap the rewards :) Congrats on 4000 followers!

I think it's less about trying to predict where you'll end up forcing conversation or comments, but rather about being sincere and pushing yourself to give soemthing to the community that they might not have.

Very good advice. Resteemed :-)

amazing post
thank you for your effort.

Gratz on the 4000 followers recently!:D

Damn you have all those qualities :D

So they say!

So I say!

We all are examples to be followed by others, but the question remains; what example are we planting, I don't expect you to answer this because your answer is already found in your steemit life story @papa-pepper. Long live your legacy.

I do like originality and a kind soul breathing in the words and I believe you have it both in the right place :)

Thanks for sharing this! :)

I liked that you choose the person who honestly put his comment. I want to share something about my profile, i joined steemit for earning money , no doubt. Later i asked many streemians , hope you were also among them, about how to become successful and get upvote and payouts. After lots of replies, i came to conclusions that reading good posts and posting good content, useful content is the way to get more people follow you and the skills you shared, all are required to write a good post. One more thing we should aim for a long term purpose if we want to succeed. I am trying to follow these . Thank you so much for sharing nice content and making steemit a better platform.

Good post, I upvote

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

The success to anything is just being yourself, and people will connect. I have seen some massively upvoted asian posts on steemit, for me, it's not interesting, but for the asian voters they're connecting to what the poster is saying. Some people connect to food blogs, others to photography, others respond to a beautiful woman's smile or a sexy pose. I followed you because I'm interested in homesteading, camping, survival techniques, farming. So your blog interests me. I'm also interested in science, photography, etc., so I connect to other people's blogs too. I don't care if they're popular blogs or not, I care if the persons are taking the time to write something meaningful. Of course, you've been around since the beginning of the steem network, you're an OG, so you had time to build your connections. Time and patience yield the best reward. And I repeat it again, your avatar must exert some magical spell on people lol.

Time and patience is huge, and don't worry about popularity, I never did. Hang out with whoever will hang out with you, and have fun!

Been honest and true to ones self takes you a long way to succeeding in life

What an awesome concept.

Congrats to the winner @haphazard-hstead. 🥁

#whalepower

Great post I gave you a follow !

The guide lines that you posted, are actually what people should be in there every day lives. I love how spelled out it is in this post. This is actually a post to live by! Thank you, these are the qualities i try to live by every day! This site i believe will teach people how to live a more fulfilled life and how to communicate better with your friends, family and all people in general.

Thanks for motivational post, but it seems that it is really hard to gain audience, people say that I should be consistent with content of my posts, but I do not have any specific niche to take, and I do not post on regular basis, could it be main reason for my posts being ignored and not gaining votes?

Specific niche does not matter so much, in my opinion. I post on everything and anything.

Just keep posts coming consistently, so people learn that they can always expect something new from you. It will take time, of course, but it is a good investment.

Also, comment a lot and make friends.

Appreciated your answer, I'll try something, it's nice that whales like you are with us

Technically not a whale, but I know what you mean

U5dryJTkzxt285RdLyVD6RDhFcNY7MN.jpg

wow like it

Great post @papa-pepper. Need to come back later and watch the video. I really like the slogan : Don’t waste your time online, invest it with steemit.com- Do you have a tshirt with it?

I love how you try to help all of us to get as successful as you are. But I have a feeling that real success on steemit comes from being true to yourself. Which is the hardest thing, not only online.

Yeah I do feel that a number of quality posts (not mine) are left unappreciated and some copy-pasted stuff gets lots of upvotes. That happens everywhere, whether on Steemit or not. That said, if we practice all of the values highlighted above, we should be able to achieve at the very least, some sort of success.

Agreed. Thank you.

Yes we have to forget that we are writing for money if we want to be successful. Steemit can only become sussessful if authors put up great content and users interact and encourage good authors. This is no get rich quick scheme. It takes time effort and perseverance to make anything great

Well said!! Respect!!!

@papa-pepper, the first thing that struck me is your ability to make others feel welcome without saying much.

I also like the fact that you don't shy away from saying, "I don't know."

You are thorough in what you do - you come well-prepared, and you have amazing communication skills.

These, combined with everything else others have said, make yours a success story.

While it's impossible for anyone else to recreate YOUR story; it is possible to learn from you and create a niche for ourselves here.

Authenticity will take us far.

Thank you for doing what you do to help us Minnows.

I hope you took some time to give yourself a big pat on the back. Like I said, you are an inspiration. You did the hard work. You deserve the success.

Yes, making a value post that can contribute to other people in some ways can make you successful I believe.

It's always important to get feedback and improve ourselves, good for you, upvoted!

Haphazard did sum it up pretty nicely :)

Keep up the good work !

Answering what is nearly impossible to reproduce has always been one of the greatest challenges.

Mostly, we scientists tend to try and generalize some principles that have allowed several people in different circumstances to achieve the same thing, but even then we can't account for the dice-game the universe tends to play with us... XS

Really motivating.

I think your blog about sums it up regarding how to become successful on steemit, or in real life for that matter. As both require much of the same skills and should have some of the same goals. I think it is important to realize that even many of the greatest minds and inventors get it wrong many times before they hit a homerun.... Here on steemit it begins much in the same way i believe. Many of our first hundred or so posts might not earn much in the way of rewards, but then we happen to write a good piece that others feel they can stand behind and support with votes. I think the trick is for anyone to focus on the quality of the post, and then the frequency of those quality posts. I believe that if i can put out quality, and in highenough quantity i will continue to grow. As i think we all understand just how quickly a post gets buried here... i once saw a post of mine move down 15-16 spots in a matter of 3 seconds... i was like damn...ain't nobody gonna even see that post...lol. But that brings up another point...all of the unnecessary posts about the cryptomarket, bitcoin, etc... i think i see more posts about crypto(most of them saying the same thing as the next)than any other topics...would like to see a "cleaner" UI for navigating around alot of the junk being tossed out there... but i guess it is a price you pay in an unrestricted blockchain...

Definitely agree with the comment of @haphazard-hstead 100%.

That was a really great post. I am seriously brand new to Steemit and still don't really know what I am doing!

All I know is the philosophy you covered below is so in line with my own, that has given me business success around the world.

I am always asking how best i can serve others... and that is pretty well what you are saying, so I will plod on with this, learning along the way... and maybe Steemit will work for me too!!!

All the best... and once more a great post :)

I think this is a journey and everyone has to find its own path... I totally agree that the success you had will not be reached even if one copies everything you did and does them exactly the way you did.
I am a newbie here but I think there is much more to all this than producing good quality content. there are many different elements + the big role of the personality involved.
I plan to move forward in baby steps, enjoy the journey and figure out what works best for me. Trying to find a way which lets me stay the way I am being true to myself, my values and provide encouragement, inspiration, entertainment, and knowledge to those who consume my content.

Being on steemit less that a week I have noticed one thing that bothers me- all the attention on making more steem for yourself and very little about giving to others. Your testimony has made my day, I thank you for doing it so sincerely, and hope it changes the lives of your followers.

Glad to hear it and pleased to be an example to others.

Great.

Awesome post, thank you for the success tips. Steem On man!

Success is when preparation meets opportunity. Life prepared you for a box of chocolates labeled 'steemit'. You can spend time examining your naval every time something goes right, or you can stick to the first rule of racing 'what is behind you is not important '

This post has been ranked within the top 50 most undervalued posts in the first half of Jun 24. We estimate that this post is undervalued by $58.94 as compared to a scenario in which every voter had an equal say.

I have been at it for about three weeks now because I got laid-off of work. Ive been a member since Dec, but never had the time.

I am slowly learning that it is as important to comment on a post, as well as posting. I have been answering all my replies and I upvote them, but it doesnt mean they will upvote me.

I am also trying to do original content from Spain because that is where I live.

Thanks for the post.

Thanks for the post @papa-pepper, always nice to see others perspective on this topic...following you to see new posts, hopefully soon.

Soon ur gonna have to change ur name to King-Pepper ;-)>

Although I have only been on Steemit for about a month, I think I am starting to understand the key to success on Steemit. If you want to be successful on Steemit, you have to forget about your own success and focus on the success of the entire platform.

You heard that right folks - don't concentrate on yourself, concentrate instead on taking Steemit to the moon and making it the most successful social media network in the universe!

In this process, not only will Steemit undoubtedly reach the masses and become THE social media platform of the world, but you will forever be celebrated as the pioneer and the visionary that helped make all the difference.

Just ask Papa how he does this on a regular basis ;)

Hiya Papa,

I don't get by as often as I'd like because I have become extremely busy with a whole lot of things lol.. But yeah, definitely my favorite blog on Steemit..

You've shared yourself and your family with us all and made us all feel special at the same time. Not an easy thing to do :)

Congratulations and God Bless my friend...

I think to put it in a nutshell @papa-pepper, you show us your authentic self. There is no forced personality, it is just you. You do what you love and you show it to us. I believe a lot of people, especially me, appreciate that about you and wish to emulate you. You are a light! Thanks

Thanks @papa-pepper, you are an inspiration and am grateful for the guidance you share.
