Oh the self-doubts that gnaw at our potential!
We can get utterly lost in overthinking our pitfalls and in loosing faith in our own capabilities. The road to success is long and tough, and we are often prone to succumbing to self-sabotaging beliefs when actuality does not match our pie-in-the-sky expectations our minds have laid out for us in a most subtle manner.
All the more reason to constantly refuel our vision and our certainty in what we are doing - especially on days where we don't really feel we are on the right path.
You chose this path for a reason, and you do not need to know all the in's and out's of where it will take you along the way. Just do the work you need to do and put less emphasis on how you feel doing it.
It's great to have started something for the right reasons and out of a burning sense of passion but in any large work or project there will be hurdles and pitfalls. You can't avoid them. See it as the universe's way to test your resolve and willpower - can you push through it regardless of your momentary feelings? Our emotions are temporal, they come and go, are at the whims of our humanly perceived circumstances and they can bring us down if we designate to them too much importance.
Building a house is a great vision worth working for, but it also involves shoveling a lot of gravel, painting for hours on end and doing all sorts of things that might not match your highest excitements at the time. Make it happen regardless. Trust that it will take you to where it is you chose to go and let life unfold in front of you as you pursue your vision with vigilance and discipline.
And if you need some support from the outside, make use of the people who offer it.
I recently wrote on the importance of a high-vibing mental diet, and in that spirit I think it's high time I featured the priceless work of Elliott Hulse on this blog again who has always been an avid support in my life ever since I stumbled on the man many years ago.
The man radiates charisma and can-do to a point that is contagious and overwhelming. Overwhelming in the sense that it will override your inner doubts and let you trust that what you set out for is still as valid as you once saw it, putting less and less emphasis on your self-created narrowing beliefs and feelings that try to make you lose faith in your mission.
Do not give up. Get with the flow and if you need a break use it to refuel your sense of merit and vigilance by those who offer it to you freely.
If you must consume media, there is hardly anything better to watch and immerse yourself in than the commanding support of those who have already walked the path themselves and are reminding others to follow theirs.
Subbing recommended! The whole channel is absolute gold.
