CHARACTER

Life is good; full of handsome and beautiful people all over the world but amidst all these, one thing that differentiates us all is character. the quality and distinguishing standard of our lives lie not in our appearance but in our good character. character refers to an individual’s disposition ,the way he thinks ,feels ,behaves and his entire personality. it is the qualities and traits visible to all. Although we can show certain acceptable behaviour to people around us ,our character is our real self, our true value, the very essence known to our selves alone.
Character can be likened to a flame as well as pregnancy. a pregnancy can be unknown or kept hidden beneath the cloth in its earliest moment but with the passage of time, it will sprout out and become obvious to all. in the same vein, as the sight of flame is an indication of fire, our character is an indicator for who you really are, the content of our container that cannot be hidden for long like pregnancy.
Character is the foundation and rock upon which the success and scope of our lives is built .a defect in character will lead to a crack in our foundation that can lead to collapse of our future. Hard work can bring great success in life, beauty can attract the best partner, a noble background can put you at the top but it takes a reputable character to sustain your achievements, successes and status.
Potential, destinies remain truncated, untapped, unfulfilled due to deficiencies in character. this has led to the fall of kingdoms ,people and vision. People often describe such persons as people with no character. in as much as this is not really appropriate since everyone has their character be it good or bad, we need to build or character ,it takes a conscious decision to acknowledge our character deficiency and be willing to change it. One of the ways of building of character is openness to correction. An act of humbly and willingly acknowledging our wrong and submitting to corrections, anything outside this is pride. Another way is learning to understand weaknesses and imperfections of others and learning to forgive their wrongs.
Despite our high taste of fashion, beauty and outward appearance, the key to excellence and sustainable success in life is character.
