Mentoring and being mentored*. Whether we are humble enough to accept it or not, the truth is that we all look up to people as we grow in life, and regardless of how aware we are or not, or what level we've attained in life, someone, somewhere, somehow is looking up to something about our lives. Now, being humble enough to subject myself to the experiences and ideologies of people who have gone ahead of me, and putting my life up so as to be a point of reference to others were major challenges I faced in life. I easily found faults than honour strengths. I always looked out to the big figures who's true experience I hardly can truly know, and ignore those around who have gone ahead of me, and whose true experience I can easily access and relate too. It wasn't easy getting through this, I wish I could compress how I did in the shortest words maybe some other times, but I did. Today my life is a product of several people who have gone ahead of me and I admire a possibility that they represent, and I also trust that I'm a positive look-up-to, to a few other people as well. I once heard one of my mentors say you learn in two ways, one from your mistakes and the other from your mentors. I'm holding on to this for life!
