Bible Truth: Wisdom's instruction is to fear the LORD, and humility comes before honor. Proverbs 15:33

Wisdom is the science that teaches us to make the right decisions in life, and the Bible teaches us that this science, which also participates in intelligence at some point, has a fundament, the spiritual gift of fear of God. The book of Proverbs tells us: "Wisdom's instruction is to fear the LORD, and humility comes before honor" Proverbs 15:33. The spiritual gift of fear of the LORD or piety is constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, stability. The Bible is accurate, we cannot become wise and truly intelligent if we do not first fear the Lord.
A clear example of this is the life of King David in the old testament, God gives his spirit to David and fills him with the gift of fear of God to fulfill a design of the Providence when the prophet Samuel anoints him in 1 Samuel 16:13.

David is the last of the brothers in his family, but he becomes the first in Israel by defeating Goliath the Philistine in 1 Samuel 17:1-50. The last becomes the first and humility precedes glory; because the eternal wisdom of the Lord says: "The LORD does not see as man does. For man sees the outward appearance, but the LORD sees the heart" 1 Samuel 16:7.
But then things get complicated for David and the King of Israel, Saul, tries to kill him. David escapes countless times from the hands of Saul and guided by God, never utters a word against his King. Saul in pursuit, makes a mistake and David shows his mercy and spares his life in 1 Samuel 24. The fear of God allows David to make the correct decisions and keep his mind clear in many difficult situations, David never lets himself be carried away by the terror of death and the low passions; God shows his wisdom through David. Finally, Saul dies and David is crowned King.
Like David, the spiritual life of every man is born with the fear of God.
