Any trade, including writing and any other form of art (poetry, painting etc,) can all be done on an entrepreneurial level. It requires a little bit effort than your standard "post a pic" like one would on instagram, but even on instagram entrepreneurs who use that platform, take their time to create well written & thoughtfully guided content for their followers, because they understand that 'their profile is their business.'

We are doing our best to not exclude anyone from posting on Intrepreneur, whilst still ensuring that our platform reflects it's original mission, which is again, "to support entrepreneurial bloggers online."

The definition above is a simplified version of what it means to be an entrepreneur and should one go looking for an expanded explanation, they would find that an entrepreneur is also described as -

  • "An individual who creates a new business, bearing most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards. The entrepreneur is commonly seen as an innovator, a source of new ideas, goods, services, and business/or procedures.
Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy. These are the people who have the skills and initiative necessary to anticipate current and future needs and bring good new ideas to market. Entrepreneurs who prove to be successful in taking on the risks of a startup are rewarded with profits, fame and continued growth opportunities. Those who fail, suffer losses and become less prevalent in the markets."

That tendency towards innovation, a willingness to learn & a desire to remain relevant in ever-changing markets are all necessary qualities of entrepreneurship.
Since starting this project we have had to make amendments to ensure that the service we provide remains relevant to our target audience (online entrepreneurs), and these community guidelines are merely our continued working towards this. We are doing our best to lead by example, as it was our lack of specificity that caused this problem. For this, we sincerely apologize.
Yes, these changes may result in the loss of some bloggers from our platform, however, that is part of the risk we have incurred as entrepreneurs, and we simply hope that those who remain, will continue to grow & improve along with us, as we are also learning.

In conclusion, let me reiterate that any skill or trade can be blogged about in an entrepreneurial way, however, it is up to the author to learn what it means to be entrepreneurial and then work towards presenting their content in such a manner if they wish to use the INT tag.

Simple additions like adding context, (eg. "this poem is part of a new online poetry series that I will be releasing over the course of the next month,") 1) - show cases a skill, 2) gives an idea of how the material will be presented, such that interested persons can follow along (client-base), and 3) incurs a sense of responsibility of the author to fulfill their initial 'mission statement', (ie 'order fulfillment' through the releasing the poetry series.) This is how businesses in the real world are run and we are simply seeking to implement these professional practices in the blogging space that we've created here.

I hope this expanded explanation helps to further clarify our intentions as a project moving forward. :)
