At the annual Overclocking and eSports Carnival 2017 held in late November by video card maker Galax, Intel revealed (leaked via MyDrivers) its immediate product roadmap. This roadmap lists the Silicon-giant’s plans for mid-range and high-end desktop chips.

Gemini Lake: Later this month

The next-generation successors of Intel’s low-power Pentium and Celeron CPUs are about to arrive. According to the leaked roadmap, the first Gemini Lake chips will ship later this month. They’ll follow the current Apollo Lake lineup. Using up to 10 watts power, these chips will come in quad-core and dual-core variants.

These chips are designed for mini desktops and entry-level portable computers. They will offer support for newer hardware and improve the performance.

Coffee Lake-S: Early 2018

Offering something new to the mainstream desktop users, Intel plans to hit the production lines with more Coffee Lake-S (300 Series) processors in early 2018. The customers could expect to witness the sales by March or April. This updated line of Coffee Lake-S chips will include dual-core, quad-core, and 6-core solutions.

Cascade Lake-X: Late 2018

Last but not the least Intel Cascade Lake-X processors. Designed for premium segment, these multi-core Intel CPUs will follow Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X solutions; they can also be seen as Skylake-X refresh lineup. They’ll probably be based on 14nm++ architecture.

Out of these three lineups, which one is making you the most excited? Don’t forget to share your views with us.
