What is a high IQ good for?

in intelligence •  8 years ago

Being a high IQ individual is just like being a millionaire, if you don't put it to good use for other than yourself then it is worthless. I would like to direct your attention to Maslow's hierarchy of needs.  Once you have arrived at the top, no matter how much more money, belongings, intelligence or self actualizations you complete and obtain you will hit a snag in the happiness scale. For no amount of things can bring you anymore happiness than at your peak. So again you have to put it to good use and do it for the good of mankind or to help others get to your position whether it is intellectually or through guidance. There's a reason people on their death beds always say that they had wished they had more time to spend with their loved ones or helped others reach the happiness that they had themselves. It's the reason I love helping people and give them guidance, give them answers that otherwise would of never been able to find out elsewhere. It's the reason I love giving information that won't do me any good to keep to myself. Let others worry about money and status by holding on to secrets and information to further feed their ego and false sense of happiness through the acquisition of more money and worthless belongings which they can't take with them after death.
