For all your statist friends, dear reader.
They know not what they do.
Ever since the German Nazis committed horrendous mass murders of Jews, homosexuals, Roma, and Catholics, many commentators, analysts and scholars have made the mistake of associating “genocide” with “executions and gassing” of people en masse.
The originator of the term “genocide” attorney and author Raphael Lemkin’s analysis essentially explains this error when his analysis points to how the Holocaust is not a synonym for genocide, but the consequence of Nazi imperialism and Colonialism in Europe.
While the massive murders by the Nazi government was a horrific case of human destruction the genocide had already begun before the killings.
Read from Lemkin’s book, Axis Rule in Occupied Europe (Washington, DC: Carnegie Council, 1944) on page 79 how he describes genocide:
Genocide has two phases: one, destruction of the national pattern of the oppressed group: the other, the imposition of the national pattern of the oppressor.
This imposition, in turn, may be made upon the oppressed population, which is allowed to remain, or upon the territory alone, after removal of the population and the colonization of the area by the oppressor’s own nationals.
In other words, when a distinct people is systematically occupied by an outside population with the intention of replacing that population with the invading people under the instrumentality of a government or other organized agent monopolizing violence, that process is genocide.
All events after the occupation—the Colonization—are the result of the initial genocide.
Scholars claim that there have been no fewer than 181 “genocides” since what they describe as the “beginning of genocides” in 1945–that is, instances where human beings have been massively killed with the intention of destroying that human population.
The Center for World Indigenous Studies is conducting a study of “Genocides against Fourth World Peoples” to learn about the extent of genocide (in the Lemkin sense and in the latter-day scholars’ sense) committed against Fourth World peoples and what alternatives exist to establish justice and prevent occurrences of genocide.
Rule by force is the disease, who and how are symptoms.

When there are not enough resources for everyone, one tribe will steal them from another (and in the meantime kill everybody else too). Although you could debate what is the carrying capacity for humans on earth, IMO we are approaching it. Trump wants to build a wall and Europe has and immigration crisis.
In 1906, Alfred Henry Lewis stated, “There are only nine meals between mankind and anarchy.”

We should give up the artificial scarcity model of economics,...?
Everybody alive can fit into texas with 4 people in the house, and have room left over for yards, and streets.
We got plenty.

Was Nazi Germany a free market society? Are nations with dictators capitalist/free market societies?
There is plenty of evidence that communist regimes kill.

Not even to mention the massive advances in life expectancy medicine quality of life that wouldn't have happened until a socialist or communist society.
Greed is good.

Also in a free market world it's not someone else's fault that a countries people are happy to live under a dictator. It's up to them to figure out how to fix it and become civilized if they want a better existence. It is not a mystery why democratic countries are better off and millions don't die from a lack of clean water. And if blood has to be shed to get to democracy and no corruption then that's a price worth paying imo.

Eliminate force from the equation and folks can do what they want, imo.
Crowds are morons.
Better to let them be people and don't split them into crowds.
How many medical advances are squashed because they cant get patents?
Greed is for a**holes.

I'm going to read that over the next week or 2, thanks for the link :)
I agree that advances are slowed down by patent trolls or genuine patents, but with hard work being rewarded there would be fewer significant advances to mass markets imo.
Even in a simple example I want apples but don't want to pay for them. You planted 10 trees 10 years ago and spend 1 working week per year tending to the trees, killing the weeds, watering it during a drought, protecting it from horses and crows, picking the apples, storing the apples and so on. Why should you give me apples for free when you can sell them and buy something other than apples instead?
That analogy is true for physical and mental labour. There can be some support for the worst off people in society, but the world works by specialisation, you trade smart decisions, time and labour in things you are good at for the same from someone else. Some IP should be protected at least for some length of time.
Many of the most successful people in society by hard work, luck, IQ etc donate huge amounts of their wealth to the worst off voluntarily. The world could be much worse off if smart/lucky/hard working people don't get rewarded for this and therefore couldn't maximise the good they voluntarily choose to do.

How does that strike you?
Better, or worse, than the status quo?

I love every time someone on the right tries to claim that socialism killed millions of people they ignore the deaths at the hands of late stage capitalism has killed this year alone.

Close to 100 million people*.
And how many people didn't starve to death due to capitalism? Thats in the hundreds of millions as well, and how many more people are able to live due to capitalism, billions... Capitalism is the right for people to trade freely with eachother.
This "late stage capitalism" that you talk about is socialism with the ultimate goal of getting to communism or a technocracy(tech giants/elites). The USA has tons of socialist policies put into place.
Why did the housing bubble happen? Wasn't capitalism, it was government intervention.
Why did the stock market crash? Wasn't capitalism, was government laws and regulations.
Why did the Great Depression happen and continue on for such a long time? Wasn't capitalism, was governments laws and regulations.
Now you can validly ask the question, what about natural monopolies those are a problem? Exactly, they are a problem. And the way to deal with those is by competition as the best way, and if they are so monopolistic they can't have competition even the playing field then and only then regulation might make sense. Not many natural monopolies exist though, so its mostly a scare tactic that is used as a boogey man to say we need regulation to reign in corruption. Most corruption in the United States is legal because companies carve these things out in legislation by buying off politicians.
We have Crony Socialism/Communism/Technocracy happening in the USA on a wide scale, not capitalism. Because again, capitalism is free trade between people, which we don't have in almost any sector.
