The wandering albatross hasbthe largest wingspan of anybird. Its outstreched wings measure 3.5 m (11.5feet) across. The albatross uses its strong wings to soar in the winds that blow across the souther oceans. It soends almost all its life in the aie and touch dowb on land only to breed.
