Too Pretty To Just Eat

I kid you not, some people do live inside of Pinterest or Instagram. Yesterday afternoon, I had the pleasure of stepping into such a home.

I don't mean this in a bad way whatsoever by the way. I know there's a negative connotation associated with people's Instagram life, but seriously this couple are just like that. I doubt they're even on Instagram at all.

The lady is a cousin of my host's, so we went over to their house to say hi. From the minute we arrived in front of their home, I knew I was in for a visual treat. I'm not going to post any photos of their home because they're actually quite private, so I respect that.

She lives there with her husband and their toddler. It's even more impressive to think they have a toddler, yet are able to keep such a stylish home.

Interior design is a hobby of hers, but I'm convinced she could go into the business successfully. From what I saw, she's got the skills. He, the husband, "has no idea about any of that design stuff. His wife makes everything look beautiful, and he's grateful for it". He's a middle-manager at the local factory.

The coffee, made by the husband, was in classic Italian style - with the concentrated shots of espresso in a small cup. The deserts were also home made, even though they looked as though the dropped out of the pages of a food magazine.

"Do you mind if I take photos before I eat this?" - that was me and my phone :) . I thought it was all too pretty to just eat.

At that point we had a discussion about how good the light was in the house. The big windows, bright neutral coloured walls, happy colours, everything. I think she appreciated the fact that I noticed the little details.

I don't know if it's customary, or it was because of my apparent interest, but they offered to show us around the house.

She works from home, and has a very nice looking workspace I would love to record videos from. A lot of natural light, natural wood furniture and fabrics in muted colours.

The real masterpiece, however, is their bathroom. They've got a free standing bath in the middle of what looks like a wet room. There were several shower heads at ceiling level that looked like lights. You can pick a section of the ceiling your want the water to come from so you could in theory have two showers going. The overall decor was simply superb with hints of Iberian-North African influence.

When Steem moons and I build a house from scratch somewhere warm, I may just give her a call to see if she can help me make the place look half decent.
