HOW TORRENT WORK WITH AN EXAMPLE

in internet •  5 years ago

Many of us use a torrent client (such as Utorrent or BitTorrent) and most of us not even know how the entire process is done and their internal work or existence. Whatever confusion all we have regarding torrents and the terms associated with their activity, I am here to cancel out the confusion and provide you with the information that you’ve been looking for.
How Normal Internet Works:-
When surf web and download web page content, your computer connects to the particular web server and downloads the data directly from that server. All try to download the same file visiting the website the data will download from that same server. This is how a file download from the web works. I the image below you can show the main client in the middle that will only store the data and the other computer or visiting client download from the main source only.

How torrent Works:-
Torrents are the file (basically an address) that holds information related to other file or files and folder or folders that are to be distributed. When you start downloading the files with torrent, you are addressed only that file, not other file or files. Let's pick Utorrent and its working, a torrent is a file that has a size no bigger than 30 KB of data. It stored only address and when it will open by the Utorrent it will downloading of even bigger files (KB or MB or GB or TB) and this is done through one system or another.when you’re ‘torrenting’ a file, it means that you are transferring a file over a Peer 2 Peer network. A P2P network in the simplest explanation means a network that is created when two or more computers are connected to share resources (that you will allow sharing) without going through a separate server as we saw on the normal web. The files are then transferred in bits but they are completely downloaded on your system after going through a verification process. The result is the files present in your storage. If you want to get your hands on the files through torrenting, those files should be present completely with one computer (which is also known as a seed) or in bits and pieces divided among other people. To aid this, uTorrent clients are running on the user’s system os or smartphone.

What is SEED PEER LEACH
SEEDER

Seeder is those who have completed the download or initially only one person who uploads the torrent seeds to others. All files are going to seeding mode after complete download. In this process only uploading is done.

PEER

Peer are those who are downloading process is ongoing. In this time downloading clients share som port of its downloaded data.so the file downloading and uploading at the same time. They do not possess the whole file. Only possess parts of the whole.

LEECHERS

Leech are those clients who don’t have all parts of the files and are not able to share with you the required part of the file. So more seed and peer you can download the file easy and with great speed depend upon your broadband provider.
