Questions to ask After your job interview

A few days ago I posted about typical job interview questions. Here’s the link. After having an interview, it is typically expected of you to ask your own questions. Asking questions shows you are interested and curious about the company. However the process can be overwhelming and you might not have your questions ready that’s why it’s good to prepare ahead of time and it will score you points. This is a part you absolutely do not want to leave out.

Here are some good questions for the interviewer(s):

  1. What is considered a successful person in this position?

  2. What are the key characteristics you think a person needs to have to be a cultural fit at your company?

  3. What would be the one thing you would change in your job if you could?

  4. What do you think are the biggest opportunities the company can profit from in the near future?

  5. What are the biggest challenges the company will face in future?

  6. How is the company/ department structured?

  7. What is the usual career path for someone in this role?

  8. What career opportunities do you offer to employees?

  9. Why did the last person leave this position?

  10. What would be the next steps in the interview process?
