Small, intimate moments are so beautiful: the glow of sunrise warming the cool bedroom, the dog sighing in her sleep, the push of a snow-fed stream against my bare legs, the man I love throwing his head back and laughing, these eggs from those chickens right over there.
We revel in the big moments--the ceremonies, the adventures--and of course they're beautiful and special. But oh, give me the small moments--the unexpected delights, the simple joys. Like a string of lights, a life made up of small, beautiful moments casts the warmest glow, softens the darkness, and makes the whole world feel magical, as if it was always meant to be this way.
