Feel like an early adopter, and that feels good.

I didn't know about steemit as an hour ago. But i read a few things since then and I liked what I saw.

I am usually a lurker, just read, get the information and doesn't give back. I don't know why, maybe because I think people won't mind what I have to say.

I won't lie, the incentive in steemit made me to post. Reward people because they make content for your platform, that is a next level way of thinking.
Plus, I will be able to give back to people that bring me the information I was seeking, and that is sooo great.

Now, why this title to my post? Because, for the first time EVER, I was able to take my first name as a nickname.
I fill like Jack on Twitter:

"Hello there, setting up my steemit account" @clement.

A little about me: I like cryptocurrencies and I started to heard about bitcoin after the silkroad things. I read a lot about them, try to understand it, and i finally bought 0.1 BTC a year ago (Yay!). Lately I read about Ethereum and decided to give a try, bought 5+ ETH right before the DAO thing and lost half of my "investment" (not Yay).

Now I will try to understand steemit and read (all of) your post (and reward you!)

If you have any questions, just comment here and I will answer them :)

And sorry for my bad english, non native speaker here.

Yes you are an early adopter :-)

Wow! Do you have a link for that? (I'm kind of an analytics and data freak)

How do I find out what level my account is?

https://steemd.com/@tshering-tamang -- 9.02M Vests, a superuser, just shy of Hero status

Cool!!!

Edit : The number of vests at Steemd and the number of Steem Power at Steemit is different, How much SP is How much vests or vice versa?

VESTS (on Steemd.com) are the raw/internal voting weight (influence) tokens. It's a stable number. But the amount of STEEM per VESTS is steadily increasing. Currently 1M VESTS is worth nearly 200 STEEM. Eventually it will be 500, 1000, and so on. (Originally VESTS weren't measured in millions, but there was a 1:1M split due to potential technical issues.)

STEEM POWER at Steemit is your VESTS * steem_per_vests. You can see the current steem_per_vests value here: https://steemd.com/ on the upper right-hand side.

Personally, I think Steemit's definition of STEEM POWER is confusing because it's always a large number and growing. I think STEEM POWER (SP) should just be shorthand for 1 million VESTS and it would produce stable & reasonable numbers like you see on the "distribution" report.

I just wanna clarify, so if we have 40$ or 1SP were considered a super user, 400$ or 10SP is a hero, and so on? Just wanna double check I'm reading this correct?

Correct. Although since the price went up, a 1SP (superuser) account is now worth closer to $50.

Welcome on Steemit Clement :) ! I had the same feeling as you when I get infos from people on the internet but now we have the opportunity to give back to thank them. Btw I see that you're still holdin BTC, you better keep them warm while waiting for the Bitcoin Halving ;)

I really don't know what to think about the Bitcoin Halving. But with only 0.1BTC I don't take to much risks!

Welcome! In one year you will realizing how lucky you really where. Consider Steem Power your Steems (when you buy) so you protect them from dilution ;)

I don't understand yet what do you mean by dilution, but I will dig into this and read more of the way steemit works!

Welcome to Steemit @clement. Cheers!!!

Thanks!

Welcome to Steemit. I just joined a few hours ago as well. Sorry to hear about your Eth loss. Luckily I sold off my ethers before price went down too much. I still mine Eth, but am now debating if I should actively trade for BTC or hold onto it hoping the price comes back up.

Thanks!
I'm holding to my ETH, I lost almost 50% of what I invest, so I think it can't be worst! (And I'm hopping it will go back to the way it was before the DAO crisis.)

Welcome to the Steemit, your story sounds familiar to me:)

Thank you :)

Welcome! You are indeed early, like you said, reward people for enhancing your platform, it is yours as well, that is the beauty of Steemit :-D

Thanks!
Yes, with this kind of platform I really feel like a part of a community, and I like that :-D
