My first post and one year Steem experiment

Hello everyone. My name is Ehsen Siraj and this is my first post on Steemit. During next one year I ll constantly interact with Steemit community and try to understand the various moving parts. 

Who Am I?

I am a Financial Analyst whose main interest is to find out whether blockchain and Artificial Intelligence based technologies can be use in poverty alleviation. No, I am not in favor of handing out free money but rather something on the lines of gamification, where people contribute something to economy to earn their rewards.

Is content creation a sustainable model?

I have a side project where I need to determine whether content creation can be a sustainable model for a community of university students in a developing country. The content creation endeavor should generate anywhere between USD 0.50 to $3 per student per day. Let's find out whether Steem can be helpful in this project.

Final Thoughts

Using crypto currency for poverty alleviation is an interesting idea on the surface but if there is no solid plan to balance out the inflation of crypto currency, that model is fundamentally flawed and should not be used at first place.
