My name is Myo Min.I live in Yangon.I am university student.I specialized in chemistry subject.I want to talk about ancient and historical pagodas in my country.The name of pagoda is Shwedagon.The history of Shwedagon says that the Gotama Budha gave eight hair relics to the new brother, Taphussa and Balika, who went to india to trade. They brought the relics to their hometown, Okkalapa, not knowns as Yangon. They gave the scared relics to the king of Okkalapa.The king and citizens built the first pagoda in myanmar.This pagoda is not known as Shwedagon,enshrines not only the eight hair relics of Gotama Budha but also the relics of Kakusam Budha, Kongkon Budha and Kassapa Budha. So it is regarded as the most scared pagoda.The pagoda was rebuilt and enlarged bylater kings.
