The life of a car guy

Hello and Hi, Steem Community.

19 years old me.

You can call me Azlan, no I am not Azlan & The Typewriter nor Aslan, the Great Lion from The Chronicles of Narnia, I get that joke a lot though. A little background about me, born and raised in a town called Ampang in Malaysia, I was the only child until I was 7 years old. Since little, I had a deep interest in those metal box that had 4 wheels, better known as, Cars.  As a kid, nothing amazes me more than learning how a car operate. I remember when I was small I would force my grandfather to drive around in search of Rain just to see the windshield wiper in its operations, dont ask me why, but my parents told me that I used to tell them I wanted to be a windshield wiper when I grow up, weird right?  Not to mention I have 2 uncles that are crazy about cars as well, these are the people that drives my passion into the world of automobiles. 

 Growing up, I was the weirdo kid at school who would talk and talk non stop about cars until my friends got irritated.  Luckily for me, I was transferred to an international private school during my secondary years. During which I find new friends which have the same passion as me. Eventhough during school time we had no drivers license it didnt stop us to always talk about cars. Once high school was over, I only had one clear intention in my mind, it was to get my drivers license as quickly as I can. Things went well, I passed my driving tests with flying colors and immediately got my license, FINALLY, FREEDOM! Oh and yes those friends all did the same as well.

The 3 Musketeers? These 2 are my highschool buddies that are the most active in our "car scene" of high school past. 

As much as I like cars, I dont really like the technical part of it, all those engineering and mathematics screws my head over. So pardon me if I am not able to discuss in-depth details of a particular vehicle mechanics.

Anyway, thanks to a friend @DXN for introducing me to this website, my upcoming posts will be about my experience dealing with and around cars that is owned by my family members, all the shenanigans , joys , headache's and why we still bought cars that is out of the usual cars people generally drive, especially in Malaysia where the market tends to favor the typical easy to maintain and high resale value cars.

P/S. I drive for Uber and Grab too as a part time job, so expect posts regarding my experience as a ride-share driver.
