A Window into the Unusual

Hello all. My name is Lisa Marie. I am 27 years old and live in the most exciting state ever - Ohio. I'm currently terribly sick with a condition known as human pregnancy! In order to escape the crippling boredom I want to share what I find interesting and find like-minds.

One of my main interests is history, especially the Victorian era and by expansion the lives of the Romanovs, the last imperial family of Russia.

Another interest of mine is theater, especially musicals. I was lucky enough to see Wicked on Broadway. On tour I saw Wicked (again), Phantom of the Opera, RENT, Children of Eden, and Little Shop of Horrors. All this in the past 12 years. Isn't that just so sad? Hopefully steemit will help me see some more! :)

Another form of entertainment for me is the Creepypasta. I really like to listen to people read them aloud on Youtube, usually accompanied by sound effects. I find they're much better if they work from creating an atmosphere of dread and suspense than just blood and gore.

In my opinion one of the best things about life are pets. I've had many over the years (cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, birds, goats, etc) but right now all I have is a cat named Nero. He's kind of a little jerk but I love him. He was recently diagnosed with urinary crystals and has to eat special cat food and take pills to keep them under control.
