About me! - What it is about who I am and what I do with my life

Hello everybody! I’m Fernando Gonzalez and I’m so glad to meet you all!

I’m here for two things. First at all, I want to meet people of other countries, second and very important, I need to practice my English, so what’s better than begin to write it and interact in it. That said, I hope you understand that it’s very probably that you find mistakes –I hope there are not many- and I apologize myself beforehand.

As I said at the first line: I’m Fernando Gonzalez, a young Information Engineer that lives a struggle in Venezuela. I work as a Customer Knowledge Manager Specialist, that’s mean that I play with the client data and, developing intrinsic algorithms in SAS, I transform it into information for the company, usually used to plan different business strategies.
It’s funny that when I was in the university I hated very much the Databases. That’s my professor fault, he made the classes very boring and I lost interest very fast. Thanks to that situation I developed myself in the web development area, front end to be more specific… But well, the life is funny and play with us and, little by little and without realizing it I was submerge in the back end world… And I can’t say that I love it, but it’s not as bad as I thought. At my first job, in Bennu Studio, I began developing the front end of the web pages, then my boss asked me to learn PHP, then I made a project with ASP, then I develop a lot of SQL tables and when I notice I was working with Node.JS, React.JS and MongoDB… I need to admit that it was really amusing.

But the definitive fact that make me into the world of the data bases was my thesis. I developed it in Mercantil Banco, and were about Big Data. Sincerely I need to say that I read a lot of material and learned by myself to use Pentaho and other technologies and by very little was that I reach my goal and developed a system that read the mail of the clients and categorize them into positive and negative by its content. At the end, I receive a very good grade -98/100- and gave me my first work, in Banesco Banco Universal as Data Quality Specialist.

But enough about my professional profile. In the personal I’m a very kind man with a little obsess with the art. But no art like painting and stuff… well, I like that art too… a lot, but no as I love the books, the movies, the music and the video games… Oh my god, the videogames are my cornerstone… But I will talk about that later. My hobbies, as you can imagine, are play tons of videogames, read a lot of books and see hours and hours of movies and series. But not only that, my principal passion it’s not only enjoy the art, it’s create it. When I was a young bachelor just graduated I participate in a band as a drummer… I didn’t follow that dream because always was impossible for me to bought a drum set... nowadays still like that, but I swear that someday I will buy one and set up a room to play it. I tried with the guitar, but my fingers and my brain never used to it, so sad.

Since younger than that I was an amateur writer, with the habit of write two or three chapter and leave the project away. It was not until 2.014 that I finish a book called “La Balada de Omega” –If you know Spanish, and you are interested about it, you can find it in my wattpad, link in my bio- My adorable first and only book finished… I try so hard to write another one but my work and my hobbies will not let me! But my capital dream has been to develop a videogame since I don’t remember when… I have a pair of experience with that, maybe I will talk about it later.

Anything else? Well, I live alone in the capital of my country, I left my parents’ home just a year and a half ago and it has been a very gratifying experience –thanks god that Mercantil has a canteen, that’s has saved me to eating always the same- I abandoned my friends too, but months later a lot of them abandoned me, leaving the country… I don’t blame them… In a good part of my life -21 years of 23- before Caracas I was single and here I found an excellent girlfriend –Good for me!-. And well… I think this is all! I know you have a lot of question about my very interest life, but worry not! It’s very probable that I keep talking about me in some of my next entries… Haha! See ya!
