Hello Steemit community! My name is Manuel Felipe Rugeles. I’m a freelance Motion Graphics Designer and Video Editor working in Mérida, Venezuela. I am interested in anything that has to do with film and video production and specially post-production. I love design, photography, storytelling, animation, computer graphics, compositing, visual effects and everything related to the creation of audiovisual arts.

As this is my first post I just wanted to introduce my self and show a little bit of one of my favourite places near where I live in the venezuelan Andes. This is called the road to Piñango. A small town in the wastelands outside Mérida. One of the most beautiful places in Venezuela.

I really hope to be able to visit Venezuela some day, it's an absolutely beautiful country, but it's just not safe for a Gringo right now, not safe for Venezuelans either for that matter, but especially not safe for a Gringo. Once this revolution is over (hopefully through political means and not war) I hope the country recovers quickly and the rest of the west can start visiting and doing business in your land again.

Hello, yes right now is not the best time to visit Venezuela. As you say is not safe even for us venezuelans to live here, there is food shortages and medical supplies and there is no authorities to trust or to offer basic security. Hopefully the "revolution" is coming to an end soon since the people are waking up and standing for their rights. There is a really delicate and tense situation right now as dictator Nicolas Maduro pretends to impose an illegal constitution made for himself. but we the people are not going to let him get away with that. I really hope this ends soon and you can come to our beautiful country.

Oh, si mi amigo, yo lo se. Mi novia es una venezolana de Valencia. Fuimos a la plebiscito en Chicago.

I am really hoping the situation can end peacefully, but I have so little hope that the Chavista regime will end through any political or voluntary means. They have been given every oppurtunity to peacefully step down and submit to normal electoral processes, but they have refused.

That is dictator behavoir.

I have a few articles up on Steemit about my perspective on the issue as a Gringo. I hope it ends quickly and the country can move on.

Buenas suerte!
