Saya Menulis, maka Saya Steemit [Introduce Myself]

Hi…, Guy, Sis…, I am Stemian. Sejak dua pekan yang lalu saya memiliki akun di steemit.com. Saya pun mulai mem-posting artikel dan foto. Saya pikir ini adalah blog yang biasa saja, sama seperti platform media sosial lainnya. Hanya sekadar bertukar informasi, memberi like atau mengajukan komentar. Bagi saya tak masalah, karena saya memang suka menyebarkan tulisan.

Setelah mem-posting dua tiga artikel saya baru tersadar ternyata di steemit.com beda. Cara memberi like dan komentar juga beda. Ada reward yang menyertainya. Ini sesuatu banget. Saya menulis dan saya dibayar. Saya jadi teringat semasa aktif menulis cerpen dan esai untuk koran, tabloid dan majalah, lalu menunggu kiriman wesel pos di akhir bulan.
Oh ya, teman-teman Stemian. Saya adalah Generasi X yang lahir tahun 1973, di sebuah desa pesisir di Kecamatan Seunuddon Kabupaten Aceh Utara, Indonesia. Pernah dengar Seunuddon nggak? Ini adalah tanah tempat bermastautinnya Malem Diwa, tokoh yang banyak disebut dalam cerita legenda Aceh. Saya pernah bermimpi ingin seperti Malem Diwa, pemuda yang cerdas dan pembela yang lemah.
Sebab itu, sejak kecil saya bersungguh di sekolah. Saya termasuk tipe murid yang sangat segan dengan guru. Menurut mereka, saya termasuk murid yang patuh dan cerdas. Sebab itu, mereka memberi saya kesempatan menyelesaikan Sekolah Dasar dalam waktu empat tahun saja, dari seharusnya enam tahun. Artinya, saya dua kali mengalami loncat kelas. Masuk tahun 1980 dan tamat tahun 1984.
Saya sekolah SD dan SMP di Kecamatan Seunuddon, kemudian lanjut SMA ke luar kecamatan, yaitu di SMA Negeri Pantonlabu. Selanjutnya ke Politeknik Unsyiah di Kota Lhokseumawe mengambil jurusan Teknik Kimia selama tiga tahun. Berlanjut ke Teknik Kimia Universitas Malikussaleh untuk merampungkan strata-1. Begitulah.
Oh ya, teman-teman Stemian, saya punya hobbi menulis. Ini saya tekuni sejak di bangku sekolah. Awalnya saya menulis cerpen dan puisi untuk mengisi buku harian. Tahu kan, bila Anda pernah jatuh hati atau patah hati maka mengisi buku harian adalah job yang paling menenangkan. Produktivitas menulis cerpen kian bangkit ketika di Politeknik bertemu dengan bang Ayi Jufridar @ayijufridar yang waktu itu cerpennya mulai publis di majalah remaja nasional. Cerpen saya yang pertama dimuat di koran adalah Tangisan Meunasah Kami (Serambi Indonesia, 7 September 1993). Tulisan berbentuk hikayat Aceh berjudul Galak Keu Gata Dara yang Sopan (Buletin Panca, edisi Juli 1993).

Sejak itu saya aktif mengirim cerpen ke beberapa media lainnya, seperti foto kliping yang saya lampirkan di sini.

Sejumlah cerpen saya juga termaktub dalam buku antologi, sebagian besar merupakan hasil memenangkan lomba menulis yang diselenggarakan oleh beberapa pihak.

Judul buku cerpen Bayang Bulan di Pucuk Mangrove adalah cerpen saya yang paling diingat oleh stemian senior Bang Zainal Bakri @zainalbakri, setiap bertemu saya kalimat sapaan yang pertama muncul dari beliau adalah “seperti bercinta di pucuk mangrove”.

Oh ya, Guy, Sis…, selain menulis cerpen, saya juga bekerja sebagai wartawan. Saya diterima menjadi wartawan pada Harian Waspada Medan pada tahun 2001 untuk wilayah liputan Kabupaten Aceh Utara dan Kota Lhokseumawe.
Tahun 2003, saat konlik keamanan Aceh memuncak, saya juga pernah menjadi kontributor untuk situs berita acehkita.com yang fenomenal di bawah pawang Dandhy Dwi Laksono. Wartawan dan aktivis yang pernah bergelut di tahun-tahun tersebut pasti tahu bagaimana fenomenalnya situs acehkita.com memberitakan situasi Aceh kala itu. Kami menulis bukan hanya dengan rumus 5W 1H, tapi juga ditambah 1S, yaitu safety. Untuk itu kami memakai nama samaran. Saya misalnya, menulis dengan nama Yassir M.

Usai bencana gempa dan tsunami melanda Aceh, saya juga pernah menjadi kontributor untuk Acehfeature Service, sebuah supplier berita-berita indepth reporting yang ditulis dengan gaya jurnalisme sastrawi, yang digawangi oleh Mbak Linda Christanty di Banda Aceh. Beberapa artikel saya yang pernah dimuat di sini kemudian dibukukan dalam buku Setelah Damai di Helsinki.

Buku hasil liputan investigative reporting yang memuat artikel saya terdapat dalam buku Mengalir Rupiah di Ujung Waktu.

Satu lagi, saya ingin menceritakan bahwa selain berkarir sebagai wartawan, saya juga bekerja sebagai PNS di Aceh Utara. Sejak lulus PNS tahun 2004 saya memang telah mengurangi aktivitas sebagai wartawan. Sekarang saya ditempatkan sebagai staf di Bagian Hubungan Masyarakat Pemerintah Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Sehari-hari saya ditugaskan sebagai editor majalah Pemda dan ghost writer di sini. Teman-teman Stemian tahu kan, ghost writer itu apa. Jadi, setiap hari saya harus menulis karena itu tugas saya sehari-hari.
Saya sudah berkeluarga. Memiliki empat putra-putri, dari yang tertua : Fadhlun Nasha Meukuta Alam (14 tahun), Meutuwah Syirin Kamilia (10 tahun), Nyak Jihan Maulana (5 tahun), dan Hanif Nanta Seutia (1 tahun). Seperti saya katakan tadi, saya memegang akun steemit dua pekan lalu. Tapi informasi tentang steemit pertama kali disampaikan oleh bro Mustafa @mushthafakamal sekitar setengah tahun lalu. Waktu itu kami bincang-bincang tentang potensi investasi dalam mata uang virtual, beliau mengajak saya menulis di steemit. Kata beliau, di steemit bisa menulis tentang apa saja, dan kita mendapat reward. Waktu itu saya belum cukup paham, belum tertarik untuk membuat akun.
Rekan saya bro Armia Jamil @armiden juga pernah mengajak sekitar lima bulan lalu. Tapi lagi-lagi kepala saya belum cukup memahami. Tapi saya mulai mencari-cari di google. Terakhir di awal Januari 2018 beberapa teman kantor mulai membicarakan lebih dalam tentang steemit. Diskusi di warung kopi saat sarapan juga tak jauh-jauh dari topik steemit. Akhirnya, akun saya lolos setelah dibantu bro Nurkhazi @giokaceh1992. Alhamdulillah rekan-rekan @mirfaner @taufiqmustafa @rafsanfiber @rickyyolanda.
Seminggu kemudian saya bersyukur dapat kesempatan belajar steemit di kelas Forum Aktif Menulis (FAMe) chapter Lhokseumawe yang dipandu oleh stemian kaya Lhokseumawe (kata sister @asmaulhusna91 dan @nandaferiana) yaitu Bang @ayijufridar dan @zainalbakri. Lebih-lebih lagi forum itu juga dihadiri seorang kurator steemit Indonesia Bang @aiqabrago. Terimakasih semuanya. Saya menulis, maka saya ada di steemit. Salam steemian.

I Write, Then I Steemit [Introduce Myself]

Hi ..., Guy, Sis ..., I am Stemian. Since two weeks ago I had an account at steemit.com. I started posting articles and photos. I think this is an ordinary blog, just like any other social media platform. Just simply exchanging information, giving like or filing comments. For me no problem, because I really like to spread the writing.

After posting two three articles I just realized it was different in steemit.com. How members like and comment is also different. There is an accompanying reward. This is something. I write and I get paid. I remember remembering actively writing short stories and essays for newspapers, tabloids and magazines, then wait for postal money orders at the end of the month.
Stemians, I am a Generation X born in 1973, in a coastal village in Seunuddon Sub-district, North Aceh District, Indonesia. Ever heard of Seunuddon? This is the land where born Malem Diwa, a figure widely mentioned in the legend of Aceh. I once dreamed to be like Malem Diwa, a bright young man and a weak defender.
Therefore, since childhood I am really in school. I am the type of student who is very shy with the teacher. According to them I include a disciplined and intelligent student. Therefore, they gave me the opportunity to finish elementary school within four years, from supposedly six years. That is, I twice experienced a jump class. Entered 1980 and graduated in 1984.
I had finished elementary school and junior high school in the District Seunuddon, then continued high school to outside the district, namely in SMA Negeri Pantonlabu. Next to Polytechnic Unsyiah in Lhokseumawe City majored in Chemical Engineering for three years. Continue to Chemical Engineering University of Malikussaleh to complete strata-1. That's it.
My Stemians, I have a hobbi write. This hobby since in school. Initially I wrote short stories and poems to fill the diary. You know, if you ever fall in love or heart broken then fill the diary is the most soothing job. Productivity writing short story increasingly rise when in Polytechnic meet with the bang Ayi Jufridar @ayijufridar which at that time short story began to appear in national teen magazines. My first story in the paper is Tangisan Meunasah Kami (Serambi Indonesia, 7 September 1993). The Aceh-shaped tale entitled Galak Keu Gata Dara yang Sopan (Bulletin Panca, July 1993).

Then I actively sent short stories to some other media, such as clipping photos that I attached here.

While the title of the short story Bayang Bulan di Pucuk Mangrove is my short story remembered by the senior stemian Bang Zainal Bakri @zainalbakri, each met me the first greeting sentence from him is "like making love at the top of mangrove".

Guy, Sis ..., in addition to writing short stories, I also work as a journalist. I was accepted as a journalist at Waspada Daily in 2001 for the area of North Aceh District and Lhokseumawe City.
In 2003, when the Aceh security crisis peaked, I was also a contributor to the phenomenal acehkita.com news site under Dandhy Dwi Laksono's handler. Reporters and activists who have struggled in these years would know how phenomenal acehkita.com site reported the situation of Aceh at that time. We write not only with 5H 1H formula, but also 1S plus, that is safety. For that we use a pseudonym. I, for example, wrote with the name Yassir M.

After the earthquake and tsunami disaster struck Aceh, I was also a contributor to Acehfeature Service, a supplier of indepth reporting news stories written in the style of literary journalism, fronted by Mbak Linda Christanty in Banda Aceh. Some of my articles that have been published here are then posted in the book Setelah Damai di Helsinki.

One more, I want to tell you that in addition to my career as a journalist, I also work as a government employees in North Aceh. Since graduating government employees in 2004 I have indeed reduced my activities as a journalist. I am currently stationed as a staff in Relations Division of the North Aceh District Government. Everyday I am assigned as editor for magazine and ghost writer here. Do you know, what is ghost writer. So every day I have to write because it's my daily task.
I'm married. Has four sons and daughters, from the oldest: Fadhlun Nasha Meukuta Alam (14 years), Meutuwah Syirin Kamilia (10 years), Nyak Jihan Maulana (5 years), and Hanif Nanta Seutia (1 year). Like I said, I held my steemit account two weeks ago. But information about steemit was first delivered by bro Mustafa @mushthafakamal about half a year ago. At that time we were talking about the potential investment in virtual currency, he invited me to write in steemit. He said, in steemit can write about anything, and we get rewards. At that time I did not quite understand, not interested to create an account.
My associate bro Armia Jamil @armiden also took about five months ago. But again my head is not enough to understand. But I started searching on google. Lastly in early January 2018 some office friends began to talk more deeply about steemit. Discussions at coffeshop when breakfast are also not far from the topic of steemit. A week later I was grateful to have the opportunity to learn steemit in the Lhokseumawe chapter Lingual Writing Forum (FAMe) which is guided by the rich stemian in Lhokseumawe (said sisters @asmaulhusna91 and @nandaferiana) were Bang @ayijufridar and @zainalbakri.
