Found at Steemit! From CA to TZ to BW to here...

I hate writing about myself, so many more interesting things to read about. But this is my intro to #Steemit, so here goes. My name is Richard Miles. They said hold up an image of Steemit in your photo, but I thought I'd just stick their logo in my headshot instead. What do you think?

I live in Gaborone, Botswana. That's the capital of a land-locked country in southern Africa, bordered by South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Absolutely gorgeous country, home of the Okavango Delta, Kalahari desert, and many world heritage sites. I intend to be posting lots of stories and photos from here. Oh look, here's one now:

Before that I lived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for almost 5 years. You'll see lots of photos and stories from there as well. I'm originally from California. I have been an entrepreneur, business consultant, non-profit exec, and photographer. My passion is photography and that's my current outlet for creativity.

As you are new to steemit and it can be hard for newcomers to boost their steem power so you should try out @MinnowPowerUp where you can earn up to 30% more steem power than just powering up through steemit! It's a subscription based daily upvote bot that draws its power from a delegation pool. I compiled this post to explain the system in more depth and share my own experience in earning wupvotes for over $1 a day.

Thanks, @kromosoom. I'm going to go read up on @MInnowPowerUp now. In the meantime, could you take a look at this? It's my first real post on #Steemit and I'd love your feedback, especially your thoughts on how I can get more people to read it.

Welcome onboard Richard. Your headshot looks fine. :) Also beautiful shot of the Giraffes in the sunset. By looking at that one picture can anticipate much more good post and photography. Keep on Steeming!
