My first blog ever

Let me introduce myself:

I guess I should start with the standard what's my name, where I am born, what do I for work and so one, but does that define who I am? Maybe, but let me start on a different route and I will get to the standard list later.

On Sunday November 12th I've attended the Steemfest in Amsterdam. It was a wonderful experience and I got a chance to meet a lot of wonderful people with bright ideas and positive vibes (like: @wadepaterson; @nanzo-scoop; @neilstrauss; @mrs.steemit; @everlove; @rocket.chat; @aka2020; @lisadang and many more). Not to mention that the concept and business model is brilliant. I especially like the concept of giving the users who provide valuable content on steemit the opportunity to make money based on their content and on how many people in the community like their post. This is great right? Nowadays we share our ideas on passions and experiences on social media and we don't see a penny from all the profits that are made through advertising.

You can imagine that I got very excited about the idea and wanted to participate. But where should I start? I have never blogged before and I have many interests. Too many to be honest. So how can I create value to the community? All these thoughts were racing through my mind just before I took a pause and decided to just start writing. I need to start somewhere right and steemit seems to be a place where I can drop anything that's on my mind and I really experienced that during the steemfest. For example there where many speakers on different topics from traveling to making music beats on your old calculator or gameboy. Yes, a gameboy... I wonder if the youth from now even know what that is.

So I have decided to drop 3 topics, which I love and know a lot about and let the community advise me on what they want to hear more about.

Topic 1 Self growth and development:

I am a firm believer that you can always improve yourself and that you're never too old to learn. I have spent many years improving my communication skills by learning NLP and Hypnosis. I also love to develop myself spiritually for example by reading books from Eckart Tolle "The power of now" and "A New Earth". I see life like a journey and that path is inwards and not outwards. And believe me the path is not easy sometimes it like a roller-coaster for me.

Topic 2 Travel:

I love to travel and travel brings me to one of the points of the standard list. I am an SAP consultant, you may wonder at this moment what is SAP? SAP stands for Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing it's an Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) used mostly by fortune 500 companies. It allows for example a company to automatically post financial transaction when a sale is done at the cashier and directly send a message about the inventory decrease to plan new stock purchases. And all of this can be done without human intervention. I am specialized in Finance and Vendor Invoice processing module from SAP. This have giving me the opportunity to work for many big companies and traveling the world implementing SAP in several branches of these companies around the world. I have visited more than 40 countries and 27 of these countries was for these SAP implementations. Sounds nice right? Well it's not always, but I have made a sport of combining business and pleasure. During the week it's mostly long hours at the office, but the weekends are for me. During the weekend I maximize the opportunity to see new places and getting to know knew people and cultures. So, if you want to know how to maximize your business trip or know more about the countries like e.g nice places to visit, nature, urban jungles and nice restaurants and bars vote for topic 2. And I can start with the island where I was borne, which is Curacao.

Topic 3 Trading:

Last but not least is trading. I love to trade and I had a dream during my university years to trade and become a millionaire before I finished my studies. Unfortunately by the time I finished university I was -10K down in euros, because of my trading. Well I got my first lessons in trading and this loss was like paying to get in to the trading college. There always valuable lessons to learn in life as long as you learn from them. In trading there are a lot of lessons to learn, not only about trading, but also about yourself. Things like greed, emotions, perseverance and knowing that the most of the time you will lose at this game. The art is to keep your losses small and letting your winnings ride. Sounds easy right? My advice is if you want to trade or invest start small.

So these are just 3 of my many interests. I do have many more, who knows I might share these in the future.

For now I am out and btw my name is Quento.
