Hi my Steemit name is Rezpatex.
My real name is Petter Eliseussen.
But when i signed in here, there was not space enough for my full name, so i had to come up with a nick name.
So now i have become mister Rezpatex.. lol
I am from Norway(half Icelandic) and was born 1966.
Until i get more friends and followers here, i will focus mostly on short, but interesting posts.
(i am kind of a nerd, so i realise that much of what i find interesting, far from interest most people.. lol)
Later i will also start to post longer and more complicated stuff.
I am a Atheist, and a Anarchist and this does not make me hate religious people, or love chaos as some people seem to think.. lol
At any given time, i am reading at least 5-6 different books.
My main problem is that i am interested in almost everything, so i often get frustrated because i know i cant get to know about all of it, and some times must let things be.
I am also a hobby geologist, but love absolutely everything that have to do with science.
Since i am both Norwegian and Icelandic and extra interested in Viking history, you will probably find a lot of short Viking stories from our Viking saga`s, and some few personal views and theories about them on my page too. :)
To build up my Steemit power faster, i have joined a facebook group for Steemit members where we can post link to our Steemit posts, and then we can see every time a member posts a new post, if they also post a link to it in this group.
And then the other members go in and upvote it.
Its a great benefit for all members of this group, and i love it. :)

I am really not here for the money, and i dont expect to earn more then very little.
But i do like that as many as possible read what i write, since i only write about things i find interesting, and some times important. :)
So i will take a even closer look at it later.

https://steem.makerwannabe.com/ (This site will tell you who follows you, who unfollows you, and who mutes you. It is great for meeting new people too. I regularly check it to see who has followed me to see if I should follow them back.)
https://steemit.chat/ (This site is the official chat webpage for Steemit. There are Discord channels too, but I usually stick to the official site. Come in to network and meet new friends. You can directly message people there too, so it makes it easier to communicate with your closest friends.)
Oh yeah, there are a lot of bots on here. If you see a cookie cutter reply, especially to your intro post, it is almost certainly a bot. Check the account's reputation. If it is low, I would recommend just ignoring them. Everything is public on Steemit, so you can go look at an account's comments and replies. Are they all the same? It's a bot.
Adding photos to your account as a new Steemian may be confusing at first too. The easiest way it to click to "Submit a Story." Once in there, use the built in Steemit tool to upload an image from your computer. Below the posting window, you will see "Insert images by dragging & dropping, pasting from the clipboard, or by selecting them." Click on the blue text. Once the image is uploaded, you can copy and paste the link into your account settings.
Verifying your identity is very important because it will get you more support and people will trust you more. The best way to verify is to link back to your Steemit account by using another public social media account. For example, I posted my Steemit articles from here through my Twitter account. Another person posted their Steemit information on their Facebook account. Some people will even post a video of themselves writing out their account information since that cannot be Photoshopped. The more famous a person is or the more valuable their content is, the more important it is that they verify. If a new account falls within those two categories and fails to verify, it may get blacklisted.

When it comes to verifying my self i must do some of that too.
In a way i am lucky with my name that way, since it is only 1 person on this planet with my name, Petter Eliseussen, so that is usually easy.
(i must admit that it is at least 4-5 years since i looked up if there was any new people with that name, but i doubt it very much.)
I have made a direct link to my facebook profile where i use my real name.

Yes, be careful of doing bad things, for a single high power flag can ruin your reputation in one downvote. The main thing is to not spam people, and don't share links to your content in replies to other people's posts (rare exceptions...very rare).

Yes, that site and the sister site to it, steemdb.com, are very helpful. One of the wonderful things about steemit.com is that everything is public... including your wallet. The only thing I've found so far that can be hidden is the memo in a wallet transaction. To hide the memo from other people, start the memo with a #. Then the person receiving the transaction can read it, but no one else can.

Its the same here.
Much of the reason i write extra many the first day, was because i wanted to write many of the same posts i have posted on Facebook here also.
I would have at least 5-6 new post in here now, if it was not because i said yes to become a admin in a group a yesterday.
And then i had to use the next 9 hours to clean up and make that group actually work.. lol
But as so many things, when you have done the ground work, it all goes so much smoother from then on. :)
To day i have to do a lot of "peopling" and visit some people and so on.
I like people very much.
At the same time i am kind of a-social and prefere the company of most people for a pretty short time before i wish i was alone.. lol
As long as i am the one visiting, i can leave when i want.
When i have visitors, i have found a trix when i get tired of them.
I simply start to talk about geo-politics and other stuff that interest me, and then they are on their way withing 15-20 minutes.. lol
Those who still stay after that is usually so interesting that i actually manage much longer time in their company.. lol
