Early last year I was introduced to Steemit. I have little or no knowledge of the modus operandi of the platform and as such see no reason to join.
Being a talented writer, my post on facebook has always been to me a fun which I do in expectation of nothing. In fact, couple of friends re-share, some even copy directly and have my name removed.
Since it is only for fun, I have no problem with that until I composed an article on the herdsmen killing in Nigeria which is trending. Someone copied the post, remove my name tag from it to earn the praise, then it turned out to be an issue for me.
Few weeks later, I met a friend (@dintellectual) who told me again about steemit. And that my knowledge would be compensated and that which I do for nothing would count for myself and my readers. Also, that this is a platform where plagiarism is a crime and intellectual property is an asset. He tabled an irresistible explanation different from the one I heard about a year ago. Now I have no excuse than to oblige.
Looking forward to sharing my views with great minds like a @teamsteem, @jerrybanfield, @surpassinggoogle and prominent Nigerian steemers like @bania, @tojukaka, @ehiboss, @ogoowinner, @ewuoso, @elixbaba among others.
