It has occurred to me that i still haven't said hello to the Steemit community.
so.... Hello!
My name is Dr. Stuart Marsland BEI, I'm a doctor in mechanical engineering, and the man behind TechMojo.
But my story is somewhat of a sad one.
I was born with cardiac issues that never used to bother me thanks to corrective surgery. in high school i got banned from the IT department because i installed Doom on all the computers.
When i left high school, i continued my education till university, but during this time i worked in several bike shops. becoming a co owner of one and then moving to management with one of the UK's top cycle stores.
I loved cycling, to the point i paid my way through a few events racing downhill mountain bikes, to the point i got sponsorship and ended up racing in the UCI world cup's.
In 2009 during the off season, i went on a training run on my road bike. i was hit by a car, and that damaged my spine, and from that day forward i haven't been able to ride since as i now struggle to walk and have constant pain in my back and legs. Because of this and not being able to train as i once did, my cardiac issues came back with a vengeance and now i am waiting for a heart transplant.
At present i like to keep myself occupied by recording music with my guitars.
(here's an example... https://soundcloud.com/kinggonch/pain-train-album-version-no-vocals)
I have my truck which I have been modifying for off road use. so i get out most weekends for some fun. eventually when i have modified it enough. i want to go and drive to the end of the Road of Bones in Siberia and then back to the UK.
Gaming with my partner in Arma 3, star trek and star wars online.
and i do alot of writing. usually about tech. and after discovering Steemit, its somewhere to post up my thoughts and what i write.
So thank you for reading, i hope you will follow me and enjoy my posts.
regards. Stu @TechMojo

Hello and welcome. I'm sorry to hear about the accident. Don't give up hope on healing. Your body can do amazing things if you provide it with the right materials (your diet). I see that you play ARMA III. Do you play DayZ or PUBG?
There are a ton of other webpages to help you with Steemit. Here are some of the best for beginners:
https://steemd.com/ (This site is used to keep track of your voting power and other stats. You do not want to run out of voting power, and you only get so much per day. I keep my voting power around 80% for example.)
https://steem.makerwannabe.com/ (This site will tell you who follows you, who unfollows you, and who mutes you. It is great for meeting new people too. I regularly check it to see who has followed me to see if I should follow them back.)
https://steemit.chat/ (This site is the official chat webpage for Steemit. There are Discord channels too, but I usually stick to the official site. Come in to network and meet new friends. You can directly message people there too, so it makes it easier to communicate with your closest friends.)
Oh yeah, there are a lot of bots on here. If you see a cookie cutter reply, especially to your intro post, it is almost certainly a bot. Check the account's reputation. If it is low, I would recommend just ignoring them. Everything is public on Steemit, so you can go look at an account's comments and replies. Are they all the same? It's a bot.
Again, welcome, and I've followed you! If you have any questions about getting started, look me up on the chat site.
P.S. Check out turmeric and saffron as two examples of natural herbs you can easily add to your diet to improve your healing and health.
