My life...my vibration

My name is Chay. I abandoned a career as a practitioner of western medicine to actively observe true healing using alternative modalities. After being egregiously targeted by a competitor, who falsely reported me "anonymously" to the state licensing entity, I underwent a three year fight to defend my reputation. Once I was successful and proved my case with honor, I politely told the state to 'kiss my ass' and walked away.

During my career, I was often and openly confronted for being "bad for medicine". I volunteered my time to local schools to treat children whose parents lacked the funds to otherwise seek help. I called them the "crack kids", because their homes were too rich for Medicaid and too poor to survive. I was on-call 24/7/365 for my patients to contact any time and actually talk to me - not an operator or another doctor that knew nothing about them. Did I mention that I made house calls? I worked at a local prison to pay my overhead and used that money to service the community with a much needed model of healthcare that was seen as a threat.

During one of my many "informal meetings" with the licensing board, I was actually told that I was certifiably "crazy" for not being more money conscious and demanding all patients pay the same amount whether they could or not. The patients not able to pay were those who left high school, sought employment, and began paying taxes, while I spent 8+ years taking their tax money and getting a public college education. I saw it as a form of paying it forward - a "thank you".

When I closed my office, there were over $250,000 in unpaid Medicare/Medicaid claims, so at that point, I felt that my debt was dutifully paid to the taxpayers of America for assisting in my education. My purpose needed to turn to true healing through compassionate education of the masses as to the failures of modern medicine and the benefits of easily available modalities with centuries of proven benefit.

Today, I am a life coach that also integrates energy education and modality training into the client's life. I have no desire to create dependency but to, instead, be a conduit of freedom through inspiration and education. Happiness really is not a goal but a way of life through the appreciation of the miracles that surround me everyday. My undergraduate education was in the discipline of physics, so my love and understanding of energy and its massive benefits are decades old. When we resonate from a place of a free-flowing energy, we have achieved wellness, but each path is unique and must be discovered by the individual sojourner.

I, nor anyone else, can do the work for another, so what is the real trick? That answer is centered around finding you and living the life you were designed to live. By the time any of us can utter the words "Da-da", our box, within which others had placed us, is neatly trapping our tomorrows. We have a gender to understand; a hometown, a state and nation to defend; a socio-economic status with which to struggle; and often have a religion that we are forced to follow - just to name a few. Our purpose does not rest on the whims of others.

I am a proud parent of five grown children and assisted in the final teenage stages of a step-daughter. My parental experience is not vast, but I learned quickly that my biggest challenge was staying out of their way. As much as I knew that I had to encourage them to discover their own life path, we often parent the way that we were parented. I made mistakes, because my parents had no clue what it meant to be loving and supportive from a distance. My father was a slave to alcohol and pain medications as a very angry disabled veteran. My mother was about as manipulative as they came and abusive as well.

My parenting years were likely the span of time when I excelled the most at discovering my authentic self and realizing the happiness that true knowledge bestows. One can highlight many initials behind the name, but the knowledge that carries the most weight is that which we know about self. Sadly, it is the one subject matter that is not taught in formal educational settings. Instead, we often must pay to be given the tools necessary to even remotely begin the journey of finding self.

As I struggled to defend my belief in a compassionate form of western medicine, I also was battling a physical issue and one that had a psychiatric face. I was finding myself in times of waxing and waning consciousness, difficulty ambulating, and even my hearing and eyesight were unpredictable. Of course, the professional knee-jerk response was that I was either using drugs or was just insane. Yes, I received numerous MRI studies and all came back with a diagnosis of "chronic sinusitis" coupled with a "red herring" of a compressed pituitary. As the symptoms worsened, I finally demanded to be referred to a teaching facility far removed from the nearsighted physicians that had me labeled and packaged for psychiatric care.

The "chronic sinusitis" was instead healed fractures about my face from the years of abuse at the hands of many. My intracranial pressure was insanely high which resulted in numerous therapeutic CSF taps before a shunt was placed. I am a different person today, but I also know that the abuse will one day be my demise. I continue to fight the chronic effects of those childhood traumatic brain injuries, but I will not go down without a fight or without leaving a legacy.

Through my life, I can appreciate many goals that I have achieved, but the ones with which I will always be most proud are the relationships I have built and the love that I share with those around me. I know, without a doubt, that I still have much to learn and, in return, to teach. What good are we if we take with us that which has been gifted to us? May we all love to live and live to learn.

Western medicine does not hold all the answers

Welcome, I wish you luck on your journey on steemit

Western medicine has its place, but it is limited as far as success. It is more designed to create consumers and not results. Thanks for your words of encouragement.

As an MS sufferer I have experience of Western medicine not working

Very compelling story. However, to get the attention it needs, you need to have a title that will pull readers in. Make them want to read your story. Long titles are ok. Also include pictures that go along with your story. Help the reader identify with you and your plight. A picture of yourself or picture of your pets would help. Just a few suggestions. Good luck.

Thank you for the advice. It is a learning process for sure. I do appreciate the time you took to better my journey.

Hope the best in this new & challenging environment. I like writing/posting about several topics that call my attention, from travel, life to science and technology. Here are some of my last posts, that if you can, read them and leave some comments - it will be great.

Thank you and you are being followed!

Eagle dancer.. I found your post to be very good. During my 77 years I have had to use the medical system a few times and found it to be very robotic. When I was much younger my Mohawk Grand mother was my go to. Of course, her attention was always accompanied by love and caring. I fully understand where you are coming from. Wish you well on you journey. Billytwohearts

Thank you for your kind words. May your tomorrows be blessed...
