My name is Andrew Aiken, and I am an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Atlanta, GA. I am part-owner of Oral Surgery Specialists of Atlanta and have been taking great care of patients in Atlanta for 8 years. I was born and raised here in Atlanta and have happily returned home after attending dental school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA and medical school at the University of California, San Francisco in San Francisco, CA. I also completed my oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program in San Francisco.

I was introduced to Steemit while educating myself on cryptocurrencies and see Steemit as a great platform to educate the community on topics related to oral surgery and dentistry. Just about everyone in the world has wisdom teeth that may need to be extracted, or missing teeth that may need to be replaced by dental implants. Therefore, just about everyone could use some helpful information from a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at some point in his or her life. I'd love to be the oral surgeon that people look to for answer related to their oral surgery questions and concerns. Please let me know if you are interested in posts periodically about common questions that patients have on a day to day basis about oral surgery topics. I look forward to helping everyone out.
Outside of oral surgery, I have a wife, twin identical daughters and a son that keep me very active. A lot of free time is spent watching my children play sports, which is awesome, since I spent my childhood and high school career playing baseball and wrestling. I also enjoy cooking, listening to music and traveling. My posts may include these areas of my life as well, if folks are interested.

Hi Dr. Andrew! I was so excited when I saw your post about being a surgeon! I want to be a surgeon, not for dentistry, but possibly for Neuro. Glad to have someone like you aboard on Steemit. You mentioned that you could post about other areas of your life...I see you were a wrestler! My boyfriend was a huge wrestler in high school and college. I would love for you to post anything related to your experiences with that so I can share them with him. Also, I enjoy cooking and love to try new things so post all about it!
