Hi! Introducing Myself

I am a retired nurse and I spent most of my career working in geriatrics, and now I have arrived myself! I'm trying to learn to navigate through the foreign world of cryptocurrencies, and that is what has led me here to steemit. Having recently attended some bitcoin meetings in KCMO, a whole new world is opening up to me. I need your help as this is like a foreign language to me.

I grew up on a farm in Kansas, and I still call this state home. I grew up in a large family and lived in a stone house with stone fence posts surrounding our land. The farm was a wonderful place to grow up as a child. We raised all our own animals and grew our own vegetables. In todays world it would be labelled "free range, grass-fed, and organic," but we just called it "food." We worked and created our own entertainment. My grandparents were Germans from Russia and spoke German. I loved the special foods we ate that were unique to our culture. I wish more stories had been shared with us so I look forward to sharing some of my stories with you, from the past and also from the present.

I am married and have a son who is helping us out with our home and with anything that needs fixing. He is very patiently helping me navigate this new world! I am so grateful!

I find that now in my retirement I am back to enjoying the same things that I enjoyed as a child but didn't take time to do in my adult life. My faith has always been important to me and I love spending time with family and friends. I love reading and playing my accordion again. I play for residents in a retirement facility every week and it brings me as much joy as it gives them! I also love to travel and absolutely love walking on the beach!
