40 posts - 40 days - 1 post per day for my love's 40th Birthday!

Hello Steemit Community,
I will write a proper intro post tomorrow, but today is all about @dylanhobalart birthday! My beloved partner has been talking at me about steemit for...2 years? 4 years? How long has steemit been around lol Yes, sorry, I am now converted, but the main driver is to put a big smile on Dylan's face. I know nothing about steemit so far, except that the blockchain is a gamechanger.

@dylanhobalart loves you steemit community!! Some of you have probably seen his art - he's big time talented - 3D metal sculptures over 6ft tall kind of talented! And handsome, and kind, and passionate about social change, and holding the elite bastards of the world accountable - how lucky I am :)

So this idea started, because my partner is turning 40 and I racked my brain wondering what he would like for his birthday. He is particular actually...though he may not agree...and humble...to this I believe he would agree. He is humble about his art, his smarts and gardening skills! He is particular about his beer, so a fancy microbeer gift basket won't cut it. He's particular about his clothes and buys what he needs so a new shirt won't do either. He's particularily particular about not being a fan of celebrating his birthday. And last year I got the man a package of underwear from walmart, because that is ALL he wanted - ALL he wanted. So, of course I dressed it up with a pink wrapping bow and placed it in the middle of our kitchen table surrounded by balloons and birthday decorations for his "surprise" lol

As you can see, the pressure is on to find that special gift, because he is no help and turning 40 is a pretty big deal whether he likes it or not! Its a week a way (at the time that I wrote this) and I got some fun plans, but nothing major you know. Nothing that will make him flip. And it needs to be extra special, because I have been/am in a different city for 3 months completing my masters program while he has been working hard and supporting me. I see him next week, so I am back to writing my brain and then it hit me - all this guy wants is for me to get on fuck'n steemit already. Not a big ask really. I'm sure he would take a million dollars too, if I had it to give, but you know...I don't lol

So, I though I would try to make enough steemit dollars to pay for his ticket to the next steemfest, which would absolutely make him stop to catch his breath before doing a happy dance and which is the real goal of this 40 posts-40 days 1post per day for my love's 40th bday thing, but I don't know y'all yet, so I didn't want to make any promises I can't keept - BUT! I am shooting for it, one ticket to the next steemfest paid in steemit dollars! Maybe no one reads this, and I only made myself laugh as I typed:) Oh well, this has been fun and I still commit to 40 posts in 40 days.To anyone who is still reading, please pass on a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to @dylanhobalart and check out this amazing human's art <3
