haha I love your sense of humor already! :) Welcome to Steemit! I have a 13 year old son, who used to be homeschooled, but he decided he wanted to go back to a mainstream school for his senior years. He has additional learning needs (ADHD, tourettes, autism etc) which make socialization hard, so his school day is mainly focused on making and keeping friends. When he was homeschooled, there were not enough kids his age to mix with and he felt that was a problem (we are in England, UK), so I agreed to let him go back to school. I am happy to see you here and I hope that I can learn from you and help my own son if he feels he wants to return to homeschooling at any point! :)

Hello adamgallin! Welcome to Steemit! We believe you'll like the great community here. Here are 5 essential tips that will help facilitate your onboarding process:

Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published. Also make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert your Steem into Steem Power to have greater upvote values.

My daughter is being unschooled too, so nice to hear about home education not from a parent, a teacher or a government "official" but actually from someone who has experienced it, and is quite clearly a well balanced, thoughtful, interesting young person. Welcome to the platform. There are many home schoolers here. My son is in his senior year and is also home schooled. If you are into gaming he does gaming reviews on here @ultrawing is his username.
