Hello Steemians, I Am Home.

My name is Helen Adiat. I'm a young lady endowed with creativity. My strength is being able to use my creativity to create things. I'm a visual Artist, singer, play writer, actress, and a set designer.

I'm melancholy/sanguine in temperament, and a strategy thinker. I spend most of my time thinking of new things and bringing them to manifestation. I'm a people's person, I love making good friends and adding value is my main aim in any relationship.

I love to put smile on people's faces which I most times achieve through my paintings, writing, time and conversation. I love encouraging people to be their real self and be able to stand on their own and take responsibility concerning their life. I'm a person who cares and always do my best to help anytime I see an opportunity to, I don't care if I have the money or not, just do what I can do.

An example of such little help was when I saw a young 5 year old boy in my area who was involved in a bike accident which cost him his left leg, very close to his hip. His parent were poor and have no money to send him for treatment or to go to school. They have no confidence to let people even see the boy because they were ashamed. They lack the knowledge of how to cope with their son's disability. Though I don't have much money to help them, but I did what I could. I first became friend with the boy and helped him regain confidence in himself, to look and interact with people because he now believe he is inferior to others. I showed him genuine love, make wooding crutches for him and taught him how to use it, took him out of the house, make him know he can still play.

I counselled the parents, rebuild their confidence and love for their son and not to be ashamed of him. I then spoke to some of my friends who work with NGO, and luckily I got one who was willing to help. I gave them his story and they took up his case, they came to show him love, re - enrolled him in school, got him good adjustable crutches, everything he need in school and much more. I didn't have the money to do all that, but I did use what I have to help him, by getting those who can for him.

Like I said earlier, the most thing I enjoy doing is putting smile on others and that makes me happy in turn. I don't joke with my integrity, so I always try to do the right things as I fear and obey God. Also I'm a good entrepreneur, i love making good money, so l learn everyday to improve my skills.

I own my own business (HelinaArts) at cultural center Ibadan. We make art works, kampala (adire), screen printing, engraving, printing works, House painting, customized greeting cards, T-shirt customizing, award plaques, carving, mural, carving, beads making, etc. I'm also a good trainer, because I believe training others what I know is a way of impacting them.

I hope to enjoy it here. We all need motivation once in a while.
