Hello Steemit!
It's great to meet you all and I'm excited to be here to meet lots of new and hopefully like-minded people with interesting things to say. I've been looking for a new home to write and connect for a long time now. I don't really fit in with the Facebook crowd, although, I see how it can be a positive place to be - It's just not really my thing.
So, What's The Story?
Well, I'm Adrian, I'm 45 years old and am from the UK. I live in Yorkshire with my lovely girlfriend and our Jack Russell, Lola! I help people online and offline to earn either an extra income or a replacement income so they can get rid of their job or just do things on their own terms.
I love to write, make videos and generally use these things to help train and educate people. I also have a good sense of humour and I love to share this humour with others as I don't take life too seriously. Sharing my view of the world is a lot of fun and I like to hear about people's own view of the world through their own eyes.
Decision Time!!
Almost a year ago - February 12th 2017 and my world as I knew it then, came crashing down. I won't go into any awkward details because this isn't about being depressed, crushed or negative. It's about the decision I took to move away from very negative forces and going on an adventure into the unknown and into un-chartered territory. I said goodbye to my parents, siblings, my girlfriend at the time and even my daughter and left my hometown and moved to the other side of the country to start over.
Little did I know, that only 9 months later, I would meet the woman of my dreams, have a business I work from home that meant I could stop having a job, and then found the home of my dreams too. It just took making that one decision - A big decision, yes, but non-the-less, I had to make a change to escape the vacuum.
I finally listened to my gut feeling, and took some action and I'm very thankful for having the strength to finally make a positive change and be myself.
So Why Steemit?
I love writing and I used to blog regularly, which I found a great outlet for whatever I was thinking or doing. But, I became tired of having to blog about business all the time, which, You may agree, Is so dull! I'd rather talk about the things that matter to me, the things that make me laugh or simply confuse me and fuse those things with help and support for those people who hope to learn how to make extra money for the things that matter to them.
I saw a great article and course about Steemit by @hopehuggs and after doing some research and due diligence, it seemed a great fit for me and the community is fantastic as well. I am very grateful to @hopehuggs for the information and value she brought to me.
I also have an understanding of Cryptocurrency and its importance in a changing world. Depending on your views, we are in exciting or uncertain times and I believe Steemit is a relevant and great place to be. I trade some Cryptocurrencies, although this is just one income stream of mine, I don't pretend to be some hotshot trader, I am learning as I go along but I will be sharing my experiences - good and bad - there are far too many boring articles and videos out there - I have no issue laughing at myself or being a real person.
What Will I Be Sharing?
Well, everyday I'll be sharing what works and what doesn't work for my businesses. I'll be sharing what self development books I am reading on a given week and I will also share what strategies and tactics worked in terms of internet traffic and converting offers into cash or crypto. I'll also share my world with you, be it happy, odd or just a different take on what's going on. As I said before, humour plays a big part of my life and it keeps me sane!
Finally...
So, It's a pleasure to meet you and I'm really excited about making new friends, being in a positive community and also helping and supporting as many people as I can on a daily basis.
