Here I am...

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Luiz and I live in south Brazil since I was born. I study economics at a State University  and I work as a full time developer and I've been in the world of cryptocurrencies since 2013 just a little bit before the big boom that happened that year. I’ve spend and earn a lot of money in this crazy market and here I am now trying to talk to the world through this blog. This is a place where I can improve my english too because I don’t talk with foreign people so please senpai notice me!

And the Gold medal goes to...

You may not know but this year we are hosting the 31st Summer Olympic Games. This is the biggest sport event of the world and by being big you know that it draws a lot of attention. Everyone desire to be in the center of that focus and when I say everyone I mean governments. Oh yeah, those bastards want it so badly that they would do anything to bring the games to their countries no matter the consequences. Do you know why they do that? Because it generates more money, tourism, it leaves a legacy in the hosting country... Of course not, it’s all about prestige! If your country hosts such an important event like that one you’ll be remembered and I’m not talking about the country, but the politicians, the president, the PM, the dictator anyone that holds the power, their names will be written in the history.

Well, that’s ok. If they want prestige let’em have it and ordinary people can enjoy the games as they want, right? Now here comes the real question. What is the price of all this fun? For a foreign tourist, it will be costs, like flight tickets, hotel, food, souvenirs and so on. To the people who lives in Rio there’s a cost for them too and they are paying high. There are people that are being drawn from their homes to give place to olympic buildings and they are left with almost nothing. People that had their family markets taken by the State and in some cases they bring the houses or the markets down and did absolutly nothing. Yes, the State rob your house, they don’t pay the right money for that, they destroy everything you have and they don’t build anything after all that shit, it was just some waste of money and people lives.

Brazil is not a rich country, it has richness, it is not the worst country in the world, but it is the best country in the world that fails in trying to be good. Everyone says that we are the country of the future, but this future never comes. I’m 28 years old and I hear that since I remember. 60,000 people are murdered every year here this is more than the whole Iraq war. I believe we have bigger problems to solve and the olympics is not one of them. But the shit was done the money was wasted and the olympics is here I hope that everything goes well for athletes and tourists and I hope to see you in the future.
