As you can tell by this post, I have recently joined the Steemit community and wish to contribute as much as I possibly can. I specialize in a couple of fields such as programming and technical analysis in cryptocurrency but am also an avid gamer. My plan for contributing to the Steemit community is to post insightful content relating to predictions and analysis of coins and projects, short programming guides or ideas and game reviews or highlights. The more significant articles will also be published on Medium for anyone to read. You can check out my Medium page at the bottom of this post for future content that I may post.
Let's start off with my programming career. Ever since I got my first computer at a young age I have been intrigued by what goes on behind the screen. This curiosity led to lots of research online trying to figure out how I could build my own website, how to create my own app or develop my own video game. I started off with HTML and CSS making basic web pages increasing in quality with each attempt. After being sufficient enough at these skills, I decided to move onto actual programming languages. My first one was C++ which I learned in an online course at first until I heard there was a class available at my school for it. After reaching a good understanding of that language, I continued to create small projects to practice my newly acquired skills but started to diversify my knowledge by learning the basics of several different programming languages. I am currently familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C++, C#, Java, Python and PHP, with C++, C# and Java being my focus. I have applied these skills to many of my personal projects but once the time comes I may be able to use them for bigger tasks.
I love cryptocurrency. One of my passions for the past year and a half has been cryptocurrencies. At first, I started out mining bitcoin back in early 2017. Since November 2017 I slowly started investing in a variety of cryptocurrencies and built up a diversified portfolio. Having invested in XRP and XLM at an early point in time for both projects, I have made over 6x my investment. During that time I also started developing many useful technical analysis skills by doing online research and watching the markets unfold, taking note of patterns over longer periods of time. At this time, I believe my skills in analyzing the cryptocurrency markets are adequate enough for me to be able to share some of my insights into the crypto world. Of course, these articles and coin suggestions will be based solely on my opinion and analysis and therefore I recommend you always do your own research beforehand. I will also provide news reports on cryptocurrencies with my own view on the topics.
My love for gaming has always stuck with me no matter what. Whether I'm playing a game to relax and take a break from events going on in my life or to simply play with some friends, I always enjoy the experience. The first game I ever played was Minecraft, which I still play to this day due to all the creativity you can express in it. Since then I have enjoyed playing many games such as all of the GTA titles, World of Warcraft, War Thunder and many other games. My current favorite game is The Witcher 3. My main focus of posting game related content though is to teach a user more about a game before they decide to pick it up and play it. These reviews will mostly be on newer releases but I will often return to older games and post info about them. When a huge update or news releases about a video game, I will most likely cover it in a post as well.
All of this pretty much sums up what my plan is and what kind of content you will be seeing from me here. A vote or follow is always greatly appreciated and helps fuel my future content. If you would like to check out my Medium page, you can do so here.

Welcome to Steemit. You sound like you will probably fit in well here. There's a reasonable size gaming community here and a reasonable interest in cryptocurrency (which makes sense given what the site is - but there's a reasonable amount of interest on the investing in other coins, getting more technical side too as opposed to just thinking about steem and that's all).
I know there's some programmers around but I'm not quite sure how big that community is on here. I myself am studying Digital Media Technologies which has been covering some programming like creating websites and C# (We're learning PHP at least this semester that just started but I think there's more as well), but it also focuses on the arty side of IT a bit with courses on graphic design in Photoshop, Illustrator etc and courses on video editing and animation etc (which is quite useful to me as well as I do these things outside of study). It's a fun mix. I mostly made a HTML5 shooter game last semester but a few things didn't quite work and I haven't returned to it after the semester finished yet to work it out, but I intend to because it would be cool if I could get it working and add it to my website (it was made in Notepad ++).
I have to make some kind of project this semester which could be an app to go in Google Play / App Store or a website or any other suitable options really, so that should be interesting.
Nice to meet you. I hope you find Steemit to be a nice place.

Hey there, nice to meet you! As @birchmark said, you'll probably fit in well here.
Be sure to check out @utopian-io as a gathering place for coders around here. Utopian pays in upvotes for contributions to open source projects, and it's a great way to learn about cool projects being built on Steem too.
Oh, and if you do cross post with Medium, consider cross linking them as well. It serves as a kind of verification, and should save you from the @cheetah bot.
Anyway, there's lots to learn around here, and tons of good resources too. Let me know if you have any questions, and enjoy your time on Steem!
