I love Amsterdam and others do too, so I'll try to be a bit of a guide into our wonderful city ;)

The title says it all: when you come and visit Amsterdam, there are many unwritten rules which make being there much better.

I moved to Amsterdam in 2005 and a lot has changed ever since. What hasn't is the people living there and the continuous rush on their bikes.

Most visitors only go to places their tourist guides tell them to go. Or what friends told them to do, like the I Amsterdam sign, a few museums, drink too much and maybe check out a coffee shop. I think there's more to this city than just that. Like, when you walk the canals, be bold and peer through windows (at a distance, not with your nose against the windows of course ;) ) Feel the oftentimes beautiful interiors and imagine yourself in it. Or leave the centre with all the canals and check out the extreme flatness of the country. Or.. or...

Anyway, I hope to come up with many interesting short and/or long trips and tips. My first post was not the #introducemyself post, because I just had to write a blog on very bad rental bikes first. Don't rent those, or your possible cycling experience will be so bad you'll never cycle again. It's like people who never use the train: something happens to them. Always. Like extreme delays and then they say: I'll stick to the car.

Yes, this is also Amsterdam!
