I actually haven't actually seen anybody beg. Your account would probably be destroyed by the amount of downvotes. The only "begging" you can do is spread your already popular content for a little more $$

That's actually good to hear. As Steemit grows it'll be interesting to see how this dynamic plays out. /r/dogecoin had a bit of an unspoken "You like a post/comment, tip it" rule going on there once things really got going. :)
