Soy Ángel Andrés Pirela Guzmán venezolano de 19 años de edad, nací en Caracas el 20 de Noviembre del 1999. Tengo un título académico de Técnico Medio en Asistente de Laboratorio Clínico, desde muy pequeño me ha encantado el deporte pero el principal fue el béisbol. Empecé a jugar béisbol desde los 4 años de edad pasando por distintas categorías y diferentes posiciones hasta el 2 de Junio del 2016 cuando me ocurrió un accidente donde perdí mi pierna derecha y mi pierna izquierda muy maltratada teniendo tan solo 16 años de edad.
Más de dos años intentando recuperar y fortalecer mi pierna izquierda con ayuda de familiares, amigos, doctores y métodos científicos no se pudo recuperar ya que había quedado severamente maltratada por el accidente por lo cual se tomó la decisión de amputarla. Más de año de esfuerzo y paciencia pero también de aprendizaje. Logre graduarme con mis compañeros de clase estando en silla de ruedas y estudiando desde casa.
Hoy en día me esfuerzo cada vez más por lograr mis metas ya que pronto tendré mis prótesis gracias a maravillosas personas que conocí durante mi recuperación. Unos de mi mejor aprendizaje durante mi recuperación fue que a pesar de las circunstancias siempre hay un motivo para seguir adelante, siempre va a haber un motivo por cual sonreír. Algunos dicen que soy valiente por no tener miedo, yo les digo:
" Es común tener miedo ya que somos seres humanos, pero valiente no es aquel que no siente miedo, valiente es aquel que a pesar de tener miedo sigue adelante"
